BIDV Ha Giang Bank Party Congress, term 2025-2030

BHG - On the morning of April 12, the Party Committee of the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam, Ha Giang Branch ( BIDV Ha Giang) held the 5th Congress, term 2025-2030 with the motto: "Solidarity - Responsibility - Efficiency - Accelerating transformation". Attending the congress were comrades: Nguyen Viet Long, Deputy Director of the State Bank of Vietnam, Region IV; Le Ngoc Lam, General Director of the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV); BIDV Ha Giang Board of Directors and 55 party members.

Speaking at the opening of the congress, Party Secretary and Director of BIDV Ha Giang Dang Van Duong emphasized: In the 2020-2025 term, BIDV Ha Giang Party Committee has promoted its role as a political nucleus, united, unanimous, focused on effectively leading and implementing assigned tasks, contributing to socio-economic development and social security in the locality. The goals set out in the Resolution of the Congress have all been achieved and exceeded the plan; the leadership capacity and fighting strength of the Party organization and Party members have been gradually improved. During this term, BIDV Ha Giang Party Committee has been classified as having fulfilled its tasks well or better; Party members have always promoted exemplary spirit in political ideology, qualities, ethics, lifestyle, actively implementing the Party's guidelines, policies, and State laws. The results of the assessment of the quality of Party members over the years have reached 96% or better fulfilling their tasks well, with no cases of disciplinary violations.

Regarding production and business activities, although the beginning of the term was affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, business indicators grew steadily and sustainably; the capital structure was improved in a positive and stable direction. By December 31, 2024, BIDV Ha Giang had mobilized nearly VND 4,300 billion in capital growth, with an average growth rate of 7.3%; outstanding credit growth in the last year of the term reached nearly VND 5,600 billion, with an average growth rate of 7.7%; revenue and expenditure difference of VND 213 billion, with an average growth rate of 16.8%; bad debt ratio controlled at below 2%. The unit ensures jobs and income for employees; fully fulfills its obligations to pay the state budget.

In addition to credit activities, BIDV Ha Giang also focuses on social security with practical activities such as: Giving Tet gifts to the poor; supporting the recovery of natural disasters; sponsoring equipment for the health sector, supporting the prevention and control of Covid-19; building houses of gratitude and solidarity for poor households; granting scholarships to children with disabilities... with a total value of nearly 30 billion VND.

BIDV Ha Giang strives for the 2025 - 2030 term: Pre-tax profit grows by an average of 8%/year; capital mobilization grows by an average of 9%/year, reaching 7,460 billion VND by the end of the term; Outstanding credit grows by an average of 10%/year, reaching 10,210 billion VND by the end of the term; bad debt control is less than 1.5% throughout the term.

Speaking at the Congress, Comrade Le Ngoc Lam, General Director of BIDV acknowledged the achievements of BIDV Ha Giang Party Committee in the past term. The achievements have significantly contributed to the overall achievements of the entire BIDV system; at the same time, clearly demonstrating the role and responsibility of the bank for the socio-economic development in the locality. He suggested that in the next term, BIDV Ha Giang Party Committee continue to closely follow BIDV's general development orientation; improve the leadership capacity and fighting strength of the Party organization; build a contingent of cadres and party members with good qualities, abilities, sense of responsibility and steadfastness, meeting the requirements in the new situation. He believes that BIDV Ha Giang Party Committee will continue to strive to fulfill the set targets in the 2025 - 2030 term, contributing to building BIDV to grow stronger and stronger.

The Congress voted to pass the Congress Resolution; voted to elect the new BIDV Bank Party Executive Committee consisting of 5 comrades. Comrade Dang Van Duong, Director of BIDV Ha Giang, was re-elected as Party Cell Secretary of the 5th term, 2025-2030 term. The Congress also voted to elect a delegation to attend the higher-level Congress.
