Opta's supercomputer has made a pessimistic prediction for Man Utd in the Premier League, after two consecutive 0-3 home defeats.
Last season, Man Utd finished third in the Premier League. However, according to Opta 's computer, the chance of the "Red Devils" repeating that achievement is only 0.7%. The computer also predicts the chance of Man Utd finishing fourth this season is 1.4%. In total, Man Utd's chance of finishing in the Top 4 is 2.1%.
When the Champions League takes on a new format next year, the Premier League could earn an extra place. So fifth place in the Premier League this season could also earn a Champions League spot. However, according to the calculator, Man Utd's chances of finishing fifth are just 4.9%.

In the 2013-14 season, Man Utd finished seventh, their worst Premier League finish since 1992. It was the first season after former manager Alex Ferguson retired. David Moyes replaced Ferguson, but was sacked in the final weeks of the season.
In all competitions this season, Man Utd have lost eight of their 15 games. Two of those were 3-0 home defeats, against Man City in the Premier League on 29 October and Newcastle in the fourth round of the League Cup on 1 November. Last season, Man Utd beat Newcastle 2-0 in the League Cup final.
The crisis at Man Utd is putting pressure on coach Erik Ten Hag. On November 1, former player Gary Neville hinted that Ten Hag would be fired. Former player Paul Merson said that the Dutch coach had lost the trust of the players and no longer had a voice in the dressing room.
In the next three matches, Man Utd will visit Fulham in round 11 of the Premier League, visit Copenhagen in round four of the Champions League group stage, and host Luton Town in round 12 of the Premier League. If they do not achieve good results, Ten Hag is at risk of leaving.
