Mirror reports that coach Pep Guardiola wants to reunite with Joshua Kimmich at Man City this summer.
Midfielder Kimmich is the player that coach Pep Guardiola brought from Leipzig to the Allianz Arena when he was leading Bayer Munich.
Man City value the versatility of Kimmich, who can play as a full-back and midfielder.
With Kyle Walker and captain Ilkay Gundogan likely to leave Man City in the coming days, Kimmich could fill that void.
Bayern Munich are said to be very wary of Man City because they have no intention of selling Kimmich.
There is information that Man City is willing to reduce the price of Cancelo, a player no longer in coach Pep Guardiola's plans, to convince Bayern to "release" Kimmich.

Kai Havertz allowed to leave Chelsea
The German striker has been given the green light to leave Stamford Bridge and has agreed personal terms with Arsenal.
However, Chelsea are making it difficult for the Gunners over the transfer fee for Kai Havertz, who has two years left on his contract.
According to the Guardian , after the first offer was rejected by Chelsea, Arsenal is preparing to add more money, raising it to 60 million pounds to make a second bid to bring the German star to Emirates.
Owner Todd Boehly is willing to let Kai Havertz go but will not accept a cheap offer, instead wanting to earn £75m on top of the £62m the Blues paid for him three years ago.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano updates the situation: Kai Havertz has made it very clear to the parties involved in the transfer that he wants to join Arsenal.

Newcastle are looking to strengthen their left wing and are paying special attention to Marc Cucurella.
The Spanish full-back joined Chelsea for £62m last summer, but Cucurella has been a huge disappointment in his first season with the Blues.
According to Mirror , coach Mauricio Pochettino allowed Cucurella to leave Stamford Bridge as he is trying to cut staff.
However, if Cucurella is sold, the London team may have to accept a large loss of up to 30 million pounds.
Newcastle are hoping to sign the 24-year-old defender but have only offered just over £32m, including add-ons.
In addition to Cucurella, the Magpies are also keeping an eye on another left winger, Kieran Tierney.
The Scotland international is ready to leave Arsenal for regular football, although the Gunners are demanding a transfer fee of £25m.
As for Chelsea, due to Financial Fair Play regulations, they were forced to sell several players in the summer transfer window, including Loftus-Cheek, Aubameyang, Ziyech, Pulisic, Koulibaly, Conor Gallagher...
