Also on March 14, Madam Pang announced through a message posted on her personal Facebook account: "In the emergency meeting of the Board of Directors, we agreed that the 360 million baht (nearly 300 billion VND) lawsuit debt with the media company Siam Sport, according to the Supreme Court's ruling on March 6, was an incident that happened during the previous term as president.

Therefore, the current presidency board is not responsible for that debt. We have also unanimously voted to initiate a lawsuit for compensation against the entire FAT executive board of the previous term, according to Article 76 of the Civil and Commercial Code, including the approval to hire experts to handle the above lawsuit. Until the justice process is implemented".

Meanwhile, Mr. Somyot Pumpanmuang told Thai News Agency that he was not worried about the lawsuit that Madam Pang was threatening and would pursue against him and the previous executive board, as he was ready to defend himself against any accusations. Regarding the FAT's debt of 5 million USD (155 million baht) to FIFA, Mr. Somyot said that this money had been spent on FAT's activities and support for Thai football.

Mr. Somyot also gave an explanation for the termination of the contract with Siam Sport during his time as FAT President, saying that the cancellation was related to FAT's right to take care of FAT's rights and privileges, not the broadcasting rights of Thai League matches, which had been granted to TrueVisions.

Mr. Somyot also asked Madam Pang and the current management team to provide all evidence that he received a monthly salary of 1 million baht (about 759 million VND) illegally from the Thai League management company, causing the Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT) to investigate. After that, he returned the entire salary of 32 million baht to FAT, with what evidence.

In addition, in a letter published to the Thai press, Mr. Somyot Pumpanmuang also counter-accused Madam Pang by demanding clarification of many other amounts of money that he brought to the agency during his time as FAT President, with all detailed information and specific documents on how that money was spent...

"I would like to inform you to consider when taking action (on the lawsuit). And please send me the documents as requested within 7 days, I hope this will help you. And thank you on this occasion," Mr. Somyot Pumpanmuang wrote in the letter.

Madam Pang organizes "special campaign" to save Thai football

With the slogan "Thai people love Thai football", Madam Pang proposed to set up a special campaign to raise money from fans. In the immediate future, it will be used to pay off the 360 million baht debt from the lawsuit against Siam Sport, while still pursuing the lawsuit against Mr. Somyot Pumpanmuang and the previous executive board to demand justice. The rest will be used to support Thai teams.

Madam Pang’s special campaign is divided into three parts, including selling Thai jerseys and T-shirts with the slogan “Love Thai Football”. Receiving donations from fans with double tax deductions and fundraising activities. FAT also cooperates to organize music events, stage plays and friendly football matches to raise money.

Previously, the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of Thailand announced that there was no financial support for FAT to pay the 360 million baht lawsuit debt with Siam Sport Company. FAT also does not have enough money to pay the debt, so the organization has to fend for itself.
