Comrade Vu A Bang, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee spoke at the conference.

The Provincial Journalists Association currently has 4 affiliated journalist associations : Provincial Radio and Television Association, Dien Bien Phu Newspaper Association, Association Office Journalists Association and Provincial Literature and Arts Journalists Association with a total of 146 members.

During the year, the Provincial Journalists Association and its affiliated journalist associations had many activities to gather, unite and motivate cadres and members in their lives, professional work and press activities to ensure the correct political and ideological orientation of the Party, regulations of the State law and the Code of Ethics for Vietnamese journalists. Being active and proactive in their expertise contributed to the press agency's goal of providing quick, complete and comprehensive information on the political, socio-economic, national defense, security and foreign affairs life of the province.

Journalists' associations have innovated their activities to gather, unite and motivate cadres and members to complete their tasks well; discussed innovative solutions to improve the quality of radio and television programs, the quality of printed newspapers, special editions and magazines. In addition, the Association has mobilized journalist members to participate in central and local press competitions: Award for composing and promoting literary, artistic and journalistic works on the theme "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style" in Dien Bien province, phase 2, period 2023-2025; 4th National Press Award for preventing and combating corruption and negativity in 2022-2023; Press Award on Party building (Golden Hammer and Sickle Award) in Dien Bien province in 2023...

Comrade Luong Van Xuyen, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Journalists Association, Director of the Provincial Radio and Television Station, awarded the title of Excellent Journalist Member at the grassroots level to individuals.

In 2024, the Provincial Journalists Association has set out 12 key tasks. In particular, advising the Provincial People's Committee to successfully organize the 3rd Dien Bien Provincial Press Award with the theme " Forever resounding Dien Bien epic "; focusing on training and improving professional qualifications in journalism; professionalism and awareness, responsibility to society of journalists.

On this occasion, the Provincial Journalists Association also launched the 3rd Dien Bien Provincial Press Award - 2024 with the theme: "The heroic epic of Dien Bien echoes forever".

Speaking at the Conference, Comrade Vu A Bang, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged and highly appreciated the Provincial Journalists Association and its affiliated branches for performing well the assigned political tasks in 2023. The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee suggested: The Journalists Association and press agencies, cadres, reporters, and journalists of the province need to continue to further enhance their management role, regularly pay attention to training, fostering, and caring for the team of journalists and journalists with solid political qualities, good expertise, and clear professional ethics. At the same time, they must always be the core and important force in the fight against corruption, waste, and negativity; continue to organize the annual Provincial Press Awards well to honor, encourage, and promptly reward journalists...

On this occasion, the Provincial Journalists Association awarded the title of "Excellent Grassroots Journalist Member in 2023" to 6 individuals; awarded Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of the Provincial Journalists Association to 11 individuals and 2 collectives with excellent emulation movements in 2023. At the same time, awarded Certificates to 23 high-quality journalistic works in 2023.
