Lisa (BlackPink) was criticized

Following her performance at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards, Lisa continued to be criticized for allegedly lip-syncing while performing at the Global Citizen Festival.

September 28, Lisa participated in the Global Citizens Festival as a performing artist. At the event, BlackPink's youngest member performed several songs, including an unreleased song called Moonlit Floor (expected to be released on October 3).

As usual, Lisa made the stage lively and satisfying with catchy melodies and skillful choreography.

However, for the second time in September, the Thai beauty was accused by the audience of lip-syncing. Previously, at MTV Video Music Awards 2024 in the middle of the month

The X platform was flooded with excerpts of Lisa's performance, along with comments criticizing the 1997-born idol: "One thing about Lisa is that her microphone is always off. She even forgets that she is lip-syncing and lets go of the microphone while the pre-recorded music is playing", "She doesn't care because she knows her fans will defend her laziness", "Lisa is the lip-syncing queen. Even the sound of her breathing is recorded"...

Soon after, many fans came to their idol's defense. Some used videos from the soundcheck to prove that Lisa was indeed singing live. Others reposted other performances as examples of their idol's vocal abilities.

Fans commented, “You can hear Lisa’s voice clearly during the sound check. But we will always see haters saying it’s lip-syncing,” “You can’t give in to haters. They will say anything as long as it benefits them. Lisa is a threat to them because she is the most famous and successful,” “This is Lisa’s voice when she sings live. I hope haters who say she can’t sing or rap will listen to her.”

However, the videos shared by fans did not convince the American audience. They judged that in any performance, Lisa was exposed to lip-syncing or singing over pre-recorded material.

Lisa's live singing ability wasn't the only controversy at the Global Citizen Festival.

Media and audiences believe that Moonlit Floor is Lisa's indirect confirmation of her romantic relationship with French tycoon Frédéric Arnault.

“Blue-eyed Frenchman, you got me confused. Your skin is always soft. Your kisses are always wonderful. The way you handle things. The voice that comes from your lips. Kiss me in the Paris sunset. Kiss me on the moonlit floor,” the lyrics read. Moonlit Floor .

Everyone believed that the lyrics described Frédéric’s appearance. While true fans expressed support for Lisa’s choice and wished her well, some were annoyed and even insulted the appearance of the son of luxury tycoon Bernard Arnault. They said that the businessman was not as handsome and “poetic” as Lisa sang.
