Land use fee collection increased 2.6 times compared to the same period

The increase in land revenue comes from the auction of land use fees and land rents; at the same time, the province reviews land funds and old headquarters of agencies, and submits to the Provincial People's Committee to add land funds to the exploitation plan.

In the first quarter of 2025, Lao Cai's land use fee collection increased 2.6 times over the same period.

The province has also directed localities to flexibly implement many measures to allocate resettlement land and transfer land use purposes to increase budget revenue. The land funds put up for auction were very successful with the winning bid price higher than the starting price; the situation of deposit abandonment also almost disappeared when the auctioned land was linked to real residential needs.

In 2025, the province aims to collect land use fees of VND5,153 billion, an increase of VND653 billion compared to the estimate assigned at the beginning of the year.
