Dien Hong Award Ceremony

The Closing Ceremony and Awarding Ceremony of the 2nd National Press Award on the National Assembly and People's Councils (Dien Hong Award) in 2024 was held at the Vietnam - Soviet Union Friendship Cultural Palace, Hanoi. This is an important and meaningful event to celebrate the 78th anniversary of the first General Election to elect the National Assembly of Vietnam (January 6, 1946 - January 6, 2024).

Also attending were Politburo members, Central Party Secretary, leaders of the Government, National Assembly, Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, ministries, central and local departments and branches...

On behalf of the leaders of the Party, the State and the National Assembly Standing Committee, speaking at the ceremony, Permanent Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man emphasized that, promoting the results of the first Dien Hong Award, this year, the number of awards and the value of the awards have been increased; although the time is not much, only 6 months after the first season, the Organizing Committee of the Award has received 2,679 quality entries from 138 press agencies at both the central and local levels with many discoveries, creativity, attractiveness, which have been welcomed and highly appreciated by readers.

The Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly commended the Steering Committee and the Organizing Committee for proactively implementing the Award in a scientific, methodical, professional and effective manner, with the Award Judging Council consisting of experienced, prestigious, impartial, objective and transparent members; especially the authors of 79 excellent works carefully selected including 7 A Prizes; 14 B Prizes; 20 C Prizes; 38 Encouragement Prizes to be honored at the ceremony.

The Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly emphasized that, inheriting and promoting the glorious tradition of 78 years of the Vietnamese National Assembly, the 15th National Assembly has been and is continuing to make efforts to innovate, improve the quality of its operations and has achieved many important and comprehensive results in terms of legislation, supreme supervision and decision-making on important issues of the country. In localities, the activities of People's Councils at all levels have been increasingly innovated to be more practical and effective.
2024 is a year of special significance in implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and the Resolution on the 5-year socio-economic development plan 2021-2025 of the National Assembly. The Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly hopes that press agencies and journalists will continue to promote their sense of responsibility, enthusiasm, love for the profession, trust and affection for the people's representative agencies; proactively propagate and mobilize in a comprehensive, timely and effective manner to bring the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws into life; make increasingly greater contributions to building a more effective and efficient National Assembly and People's Council, worthy of the trust of voters and people.

With the glorious tradition of Vietnam's revolutionary press, the team of journalists is increasingly mature in political courage, professional ethics, expertise and professionalism; it is believed that the National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels will continue to receive active support from central and local press agencies. Journalists will have new research, discoveries and creativity to write about the National Assembly and People's Councils, continuing to affirm their role as a bridge between the "Party's will" and the "people's heart", a forum for people of all walks of life to contribute their enthusiasm and intelligence to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland; creating positive spillovers, encouraging the spirit of solidarity, aspiration, self-reliance, self-reliance and creativity among the people to build a prosperous and happy country - the Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly emphasized.

At the ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded 07 A prizes, 14 B prizes, 20 C prizes, 38 Encouragement prizes to authors and representatives of author groups whose works won the prize. The Communist Party of Vietnam e-newspaper won the A prize with a series of 5 articles: "Vision and legislative imprint of the National Assembly" by the group of authors Kim Thanh - Manh Hung - Do Thoa - Kim Thoa - Kim Son. Launching the National Press Award on the National Assembly and People's Councils - the third Dien Hong Award - 2025.

The Organizing Committee has selected and awarded Certificates of Merit to 15 agencies and units that have made positive contributions to the success of the second Dien Hong Award.
