On the evening of January 5, the 3rd National Press Awards Ceremony on the National Assembly and People's Councils (Dien Hong Awards) took place in Hanoi. According to the Organizing Committee's assessment, the works were rich, high-quality, closely following the breath of life, vividly reflecting the functions and activities of the National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels; many works focused on exploiting the theme of innovation in legislative thinking, institutional innovation, improving effectiveness and efficiency... Quang Ninh Provincial Media Center had 2 award-winning works.
Comrade Tran Thanh Man, Chairman of the National Assembly attended and delivered a speech at the award ceremony. Also present were former leaders of the Party, State, relevant ministries, branches and localities. On the side of Quang Ninh province, Comrade Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation attended.
After 3 years of organization, the 3rd Dien Hong Award is considered a press award with great appeal. After more than 11 months of launching, the Organizing Committee has received 4,079 works from 163 press agencies. This is the year with the largest number of entries. The entries are invested elaborately, long-term, using multimedia and graphics, demonstrating the professionalism of modern journalism and the serious and responsible work of the authors and groups of authors.
In terms of expertise, the entries were evaluated as diverse, increasing in quantity and quality, especially in the categories of electronic newspapers, radio, television, and print newspapers. The works closely followed the breath of life, were diverse in topics and fields, and clearly reflected the new priorities of the Central Committee, focusing on exploiting new topics from the direction of the General Secretary; vividly reflecting the functions and activities of the National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels in legislation, supreme supervision and deciding on important issues of the country and localities to prepare the position and strength to bring the country into a new era - the era of national development.
After a serious and objective selection process, the Judging Council selected 83 best works to award prizes, with 8 A prizes, 15 B prizes, 20 C prizes, 40 Encouragement prizes. Of which, Quang Ninh Provincial Media Center had 2 winning works including: The work "Decisions for the people" by the group of authors Nguyen Thi Thanh Hoa - Vu Thi Dung - Dinh Thi Phuong Anh won the B prize and the work "Provincial People's Council innovates, improves operational efficiency" by the group of authors Pham Thu Trang - Dam Thi Van Anh - Nguyen Thi Ngoc - Hoang Truong Giang - Luu Thi Thuy Linh won the Encouragement prize.
Speaking at the award ceremony, Comrade Tran Thanh Man, Chairman of the National Assembly emphasized: Promoting the results of the two previous editions, this year, the Organizing Committee of the award has received journalistic works with new, creative, attractive, and convincing research, which have been well received by readers and highly appreciated by the Judging Council. Many articles have highlighted the efforts and determination to innovate, improve the quality of activities, and important and quite comprehensive results in all aspects of the National Assembly's work in 2024.
Looking forward to celebrating the country's major holidays in 2025 and 2026, he believes that journalists will continue to promote their love for the profession with a bright heart, sharp pen, and strong mind, accompanying the National Assembly, promptly conveying the activities of the National Assembly in terms of legislation, supreme supervision, and deciding on important issues of the country; exploring and discovering shortcomings and obstacles in the process of law-making and law enforcement; urgent issues of the people and businesses to reflect to the National Assembly and People's Councils for timely solutions; helping the National Assembly and People's Councils to operate more and more effectively and efficiently, worthy of the trust of voters and people nationwide.
Entries participating in the 4th Dien Hong Award - 2026 need to focus on reflecting on innovation in thinking in law-making, innovation in supervision and decision-making on important issues of the country; closely following the key tasks of the Party and State, focusing on reflecting and analyzing in depth the activities of the National Assembly, People's Councils at all levels and elected representatives; summarizing the activities of the 15th National Assembly, the activities of People's Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 term; aiming for the successful election of the new National Assembly and People's Councils. On that basis, draw lessons, continue to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of elected agencies under the leadership of the Party, contributing to bringing the country into a new era.
Also at the award ceremony, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Khac Dinh announced the launch of the 4th National Press Award on the National Assembly and People's Councils (Dien Hong Award) in 2026.
