The third National Press Award Ceremony for the National Assembly and People's Councils (Dien Hong Award) - 2025 will be held tonight, January 5, on the occasion of the 79th anniversary of the first General Election to elect the National Assembly of Vietnam (January 6, 1946 - January 6, 2025).

Strongly spread policies to voters and people

After more than 11 months of launching, the Organizing Committee has received 4,079 entries from 163 press agencies. The preliminary and final judging panels have worked objectively, fairly, and transparently, selecting 83 best entries to propose to the Organizing Committee for awards; including 8 A prizes, 15 B prizes, 20 C prizes, and 40 consolation prizes.

Mr. Le Quoc Minh, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association, Chairman of the Final Judging Council, assessed that many works were invested in very elaborately, and the quality increased significantly. Local press and radio agencies are gradually achieving high awards equivalent to those of central agencies.

That shows that the editorial offices, radio and television stations and individual authors are very conscious of investing, helping to improve the quality of press works in general, as well as press works about the National Assembly and People's Councils in particular, spreading more strongly the decisions of the National Assembly and People's Councils to voters nationwide.

According to Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper Le Quoc Minh, in recent times, the press has been very active and proactive, not only purely reflecting the orientations, policies and strategies of the Party and State leaders but also providing criticism, assessments and expert perspectives, helping to consolidate and perfect these ideas.

Professor, Dr. Ta Ngoc Tan, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council, Vice Chairman of the Final Judging Council, said that the highlight of the works participating in the Dien Hong Award this time is that they closely follow the practical life as well as the guidelines and policies of the Party and State such as: issues that the National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels participate in solving; the innovation issues of the National Assembly and People's Councils related to the arrangement of a streamlined, strong, efficient, effective, and efficient apparatus...

These are contents that are not only exploited by central press and media agencies but also analyzed in depth by many local press and media agencies and produced high-quality works.

According to the Organizing Committee, the entries for the third Dien Hong Award are rich, increasing in quantity and quality, especially in the categories of electronic newspapers, radio, television, and print newspapers.

With diverse topics and fields, the works have clearly reflected the new directive priorities of the Politburo, the 13th Central Executive Committee, and General Secretary To Lam, especially the issues raised for the country and the entire political system to prepare the position, strength and determination to bring the country into a new era - the era of the Vietnamese people's rise.

As the highest representative body of the people, the highest State power body of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, over the years, the National Assembly has always performed well in exercising the right to make the constitution, legislate, decide on important issues of the country and exercise supreme supervision over the activities of the State, in accordance with the practical situation with the ultimate goal: For the interests of the nation and people, speak up for the people, act according to the will and aspirations of the people. This is also the content that many works have focused on vividly reflecting.

After two successful seasons, the third Dien Hong Award continues to be effectively and widely implemented, contributing to improving the quality and effectiveness of information and propaganda work and raising people's awareness of the position, role, functions, tasks, organization and activities of the National Assembly and People's Councils; promoting propaganda work to bring the Party's resolutions, laws, ordinances, resolutions of the National Assembly, the National Assembly Standing Committee, and decisions of the People's Councils into life.

This is also an opportunity to encourage reporters and press agencies to actively participate in and promote the activities of the National Assembly and People's Councils, promptly reflecting the thoughts and aspirations of voters and people nationwide.
