On the evening of January 5, on the occasion of the 79th anniversary of the first general election to elect the Vietnamese National Assembly (January 6, 1946 - January 6, 2025), the announcement and awarding ceremony of the third National Press Award on the National Assembly and People's Councils (Dien Hong Award) in 2025 was held at the Vietnam - Soviet Friendship Labor Cultural Palace (Hanoi).
The series of articles "Where are young voters?" by a group of authors from Hai Duong Newspaper: Ha Vy, Phong Tuyet, Nguyen Mo won the C prize.
This is the first time Hai Duong Newspaper has a work that won the C prize at the Dien Hong award.
The series "Where are young voters?" includes 3 articles in print media, including article 1: Absent from voter meetings, article 2: Needs expressed and the final article: Bringing parliament closer to young people.
As a large and energetic force, young voters are the source of many multi-dimensional information about life, economy and society. However, the advantages of young voters have not been truly exploited and promoted effectively. The series of articles by the group of authors has mentioned and analyzed the above issue from the current situation, objective and subjective causes and the conclusion is practical solutions to bring the parliament closer to young people.
Among more than 4,000 entries, the series of articles by Hai Duong Newspaper was one of 20 works that won the C prize of Dien Hong award.
During the 3 years of Dien Hong Award, Hai Duong Newspaper has made outstanding contributions and been recognized. In 2023, Hai Duong Newspaper was one of 15 agencies and units receiving the Excellent Collective Award for its positive contributions to the success of the first Dien Hong Award.
At the second Dien Hong Award in 2024, Hai Duong Newspaper had a series of articles "What to do to effectively implement the arrangement of commune-level administrative units?" won an encouragement prize.
At the third Dien Hong Award in 2025, after 11 months of launching, 4,079 works from 163 press agencies were submitted, increasing in both quantity and quality.
The entries are rich, closely following the breath of life, diverse in topics and fields, and clearly reflect the new directive priorities of the Politburo, the 13th Central Executive Committee, General Secretary To Lam, especially the issues raised for the country and the entire political system to prepare the position, strength and determination to bring the country into a new era - the era of the Vietnamese people's rise.
Many works have been invested in elaborately and in a long-term manner, focusing on vividly reflecting the functions and activities of the National Assembly in terms of legislation, supreme supervision and deciding on important issues of the country. Many works have focused on exploiting the theme of innovation in legislative and institutional thinking, improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the activities of the National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels...
Based on the research of the profiles of 105 works proposed by the Preliminary Judging Council for the final round, the Final Judging Council selected 83 best works to propose to the Organizing Committee for awards. As a result, there were 8 A Prizes, 15 B Prizes, 20 C Prizes, and 40 Encouragement Prizes.
The National Press Award on the National Assembly and People's Councils has been effectively and widely implemented to contribute to improving the quality and effectiveness of information and propaganda work and raising people's awareness of the position, role, functions, tasks, organization and activities of the National Assembly and People's Councils; promoting propaganda work to bring the Party's resolutions, laws, ordinances, resolutions of the National Assembly, the National Assembly Standing Committee, and decisions of the People's Councils into life.
The award also aims to encourage and motivate reporters and press agencies to actively participate in and promote the activities of the National Assembly and People's Councils, promptly reflecting the thoughts and aspirations of voters and people nationwide.
