Chairman of Thua Thien Hue Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Phuong informed about Hue Festival 2024 and Hue International Arts Festival Week 2024.
Hue International Arts Festival Week 2024 includes 9 major events taking place continuously for 6 days and nights with the main performance space at the Hue Royal Palace heritage site and community spaces along the two banks of the Perfume River and the central streets of Hue City. In particular, the opening program will be held at 8:00 p.m. on June 7, at the Kien Trung Palace space, opening the exciting series of activities of Hue International Arts Festival Week 2024. Street festival "Cultural Colors" on the afternoons of June 8 and 10; performances by domestic and international art troupes from 7:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. from June 8 to 11 at community stages in Quoc Hoc Square and 3/2 Park; The music program "Dialogue Trinh Cong Son - Love Found" hosted by the Hue Monuments Conservation Center in collaboration with musician Trinh Cong Son's family and Bamboo Artists Agency, will take place at 6:00 p.m. on June 9 at Dien Kien Trung stage (Hue Imperial City). During the Hue International Arts Festival Week 2024, there will also be a beer festival, a light festival, a vegetarian food festival, a lantern festival, and a "Tam Giang Waves" festival. According to the Organizing Committee of Hue Festival 2024, up to now, 12 international art troupes from 7 countries around the world have registered to perform at the Hue International Arts Festival Week 2024.
This is a place where attractive performances by outstanding domestic and international artists converge, introducing royal court music and dance and unique folk melodies; high-quality traditional and contemporary art programs of 8 countries from continents take place every night. Hue International Arts Festival Week 2024 is also a place where special traditional art programs of Asian national art troupes converge such as: Zhejiang Dance Troupe (China); Kobugakudan URAKAJI Drum Dance Art Troupe of Okinawa City (Japan); Sae nyuk Folk Art Troupe; Korean Culture and Arts Association - Yangpyeong Branch (Korea)... In addition, many art troupes from regions and areas in the country will also contribute to making the cultural "feast" more special at Hue International Arts Festival Week 2024.
Besides the main programs and activities, there are also accompanying and responding activities, socialization programs and many other community cultural activities.
Hue Festival 2024 affirms the determination to build, introduce and promote the image of the ancient capital of Hue as well as promote the brand and position of a typical Festival city of Vietnam of Thua Thien Hue province. From there, it contributes to the successful implementation of Resolution 54-NQ/TW of the Politburo, striving for Thua Thien Hue to soon become a centrally-run city, a Festival city, a unique cultural, educational, tourism and specialized medical center of Asia based on the fundamental values of traditional culture and the proactive and creative spirit of the people of the ancient capital.Hue Festival 2024, with a four-season orientation, will continue to exploit festival chains throughout the year, gradually building a new festival program system:
Spring Festival - "Spring of the Ancient Capital" (January - March) is highlighted by royal Tet activities, traditional Tet cultural space and extremely rich and unique folk festivals, attracting the response and participation of tourists.
Summer Festival - "Shining Imperial City" (April - June) with the highlight of Hue International Arts Festival Week 2024 Contribute to introducing and promoting towards building Hue to truly become a typical Festival city of Vietnam.
Autumn Festival - "Hue in Autumn" (July - September) focuses on the Mid-Autumn Festival Program with Hue Lantern Festival 2024, combining street Lion - Lion - Dragon performances, displays, installations, lantern processions, traditional Mid-Autumn Festival experiences, introducing the beauty of Vietnamese Mid-Autumn Festival culture.
Winter Festival - "Winter of Hue" (October - December) highlights Hue Music Week 2024 and ends with the Countdown Program to say goodbye to Hue Festival 2024 - welcome the new year 2025.
