According to the report of the Director of the Department of Education and Training of Hau Giang, on September 4, a group of 5 students from NTN (grade 7), NTYN (grade 8), NTBT (grade 9), TTT (grade 9) and LTCD (grade 9) blocked and beat up female student NTHN (grade 6).
The incident happened on a deserted road, more than 1 km from the school. Because no student reported it, the Board of Directors of Vi Dong Secondary School did not immediately receive the information.
In which, D. hit the 6th grade female student with a helmet, the remaining female students hit her with their hands. During the beating, 2 female students took turns using their phones to record a clip and send it to some people. After that, the clip was posted on social media.
On September 5, N.'s family filed a complaint with the Vi Dong Commune Police and met with the teacher to discuss the incident. Afterwards, the principal and teachers of Vi Dong Secondary School visited N.'s house to visit and encourage her, and the female student was also taken for a health check.
On September 6, Vi Dong Commune Police coordinated with the school to invite the students who beat their friend and their parents to the scene. There, 5 students admitted to beating their friend. The reason was that N. had a conflict when texting back and forth with a friend of these female students (also studying at Vi Dong Secondary School). The parents of the group of female students who beat their friend pledged to meet with N.'s family to discuss and reconcile.
Hau Giang Department of Education and Training said that it has requested the Department of Education and Training of Vi Thuy District to continue to closely monitor the case and direct Vi Dong Secondary School to coordinate with Vi Dong Commune Police to resolve the matter. Depending on the severity of the violation, Vi Dong Secondary School will establish a disciplinary council to handle the group of 5 students who beat their friend according to regulations.
Previously, a clip of a student being beaten by a group of people with the caption "Vi Dong Secondary School students are so fierce" was spread on Facebook.
In the clip, a female student wearing a black and white striped jacket is surrounded by a group of more than 5 people, both male and female. The group chatted for a few sentences before attacking another female student. When the female student fell to the ground, the group still grabbed her hair and hit her on the head.
