One of the typical examples is the 5 footwear products of Mr. Nguyen Nhu Dien's household (Gie Thuong village, Phu Yen commune) that have achieved 4-star OCOP certification. Returning to his hometown after years of participating in the resistance war, veteran Nguyen Nhu Dien continues to work in his family's traditional footwear profession. He shared: In order for leather shoes to be durable and beautiful, in addition to the raw material factor, they require the skill and dedication of the craftsman. With his love for the profession and perseverance, he has successfully built 3 footwear brands, participating in the OCOP Program since 2020. At his family's workshop, Mr. Dien meticulously checks each pair of shoes to ensure quality before putting them on the market. Products from here are not only sold in large stores in Hanoi but also supplied nationwide. According to Mr. Dien, the shoe and sandal production process goes through many stages, from selecting leather materials, cutting to assembling and finishing. Thanks to the application of modern machinery such as cutting machines, stamping machines, sewing machines, the production process becomes faster, more precise, with diverse, beautiful and durable designs... In the workshop, family members participate in different stages depending on their abilities. Young people cut leather, hammer nails; older people apply gel, cut threads, pack... The combination of traditional manual skills and modern technology helps improve productivity and product quality. Thanks to specialization and the application of machinery, the footwear products of Mr. Dien's family production facility are diverse in design, ensuring quality standards.

In order for the product to meet the 4-star OCOP standard, Mr. Nguyen Nhu Dien's family has constantly made efforts to research and improve product quality. The products include: Men's office shoes in brown and black; Men's leather sandals with double soles in yellow and brown... all of which have met the 4-star OCOP standard since 2000. Each product is the result of a painstaking research process, from design, model to selection of input materials. According to Mr. Dien, to achieve this certification, he and his design team have constantly researched and created designs that both meet aesthetic requirements and bring a sense of comfort to users; leather materials are carefully selected from reputable, high-quality factories, increasing product durability. In addition, passing on the profession and training skilled workers are also key factors. During the production process, the skills of the workers play a decisive role in product quality.
