“Legless swimmer” Nguyen Hong Loi is a judge in the Miss Crescent Moon Vietnam contest, looking for girls with disabilities who have beautiful souls and inspiring stories.
The Miss Crescent Moon Vietnam 2025 contest is held for the first time in Vietnam to honor the beauty, talent and determination of women with disabilities. The contest is open to contestants aged 18-45, and in addition to showcasing their talents, it is also a forum to convey inspirational stories about extraordinary will, overcoming adversity and affirming one's own value in society.
The competition's judges are inspirational and influential experts in national community activities, including "legless swimmer" Nguyen Hong Loi and speaker Son Lam.
The organizers said that in addition to meeting age requirements, contestants need to have talents such as singing, dancing, playing musical instruments, storytelling, speaking or other special talents, and be in good health and mental condition...
Candidates who register to participate will receive support from experts in practicing and consulting on performance and presentation skills, and in preparing costumes and legal documents.
Up to this point, the contest has had more than 100 contestants participating and are being trained in talent and performance. 30 contestants who have made it to the final round will compete on May 3, 2025. All rounds will take place at the Binh Duong Radio and Television Theater.
The contestant who wins the highest position will receive the Miss Crescent Moon crown and a total prize value of up to 500 million VND including: cash, gifts, and money, and will also be able to participate in national competitions and accompany the organizing committee to support community projects.
The first and second runners-up received prizes worth 250 million VND and 200 million VND respectively.
