Many medical facilities were affected and damaged, especially in provinces and cities such as Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, Thai Binh, Hung Yen, Hai Duong, Hanoi, Lao Cai, Yen Bai, Thai Nguyen, Tuyen Quang, Lang Son, Hoa Binh and many other provinces.

In that context, hospitals, medical centers, health stations, etc. still stand firm, ensuring medical examination and treatment to serve the people.

According to local reports, there has been no case that has not received emergency care and timely treatment. Hospitals have prepared to deal with the super typhoon, moving patients and equipment to higher floors, preparing human resources, medicine, generators, etc. to treat patients.

At some hospitals in Hai Phong City and Quang Ninh Province, due to prolonged power outages and running out of fuel to run generators, staff were mobilized to squeeze balloons by hand, wholeheartedly and wholeheartedly saving the lives of patients.

Medical facilities in the northern mountainous provinces have actively treated victims buried or injured by the storm and the rain, wind, and landslides after the storm; many medical staff have waded through mud and floods with the people to cope with and overcome the consequences...

The Ministry of Health highly appreciates and warmly commends the spirit of sacrifice and selfless work of medical staff in localities.

In order to continue to quickly overcome the consequences of storms and floods, the Ministry of Health requests that hospitals with professional conditions and not affected by storms and floods be ready to support and establish a working group to increase human resources for treatment and disease prevention for hospitals affected by storm No. 3.

Hospitals support, connect remote consultation, examination and treatment, receive patients... On the other hand, hospitals encourage donations to support people in storm and flood areas.

Hospitals and medical facilities in areas affected by storm No. 3 are ready and dedicated to serving patients. In case of exceeding capacity, transfer to another facility or request support for remote examination and treatment. Hospitals are advised not to collect fees for expenses not covered by health insurance from victims.

Along with that, hospitals review facilities, equipment, medicines, supplies, etc., proactively propose timely solutions and supplements to ensure routine medical examination and treatment.

The Department of Health of provinces and cities affected by storm No. 3 should strengthen on-site monitoring, closely direct, grasp the situation of local medical facilities and provide immediate support if necessary to quickly overcome the damage and bring medical examination and treatment activities back to normal.

In addition, the Department of Health of provinces and cities directed the Center for Disease Control (CDC) to coordinate with localities to ensure clean water, environmental sanitation and disease prevention. Units are ready to prepare plans to deal with the scenario of increased epidemics after storms and floods and diseases such as diarrhea, poisoning, dermatitis, etc.

In addition, the units synthesize the treatment costs of victims in the area and the damage caused by storms and floods, and report to the Provincial People's Committee for timely solutions.
