After this situation, referee Nguyen Dinh Thai gave yellow cards to both coach Gong Oh-kyun and Tran Van Kien. According to Thanh Nien , the V-League organizing committee of Vietnam Professional Football Joint Stock Company (VPF) reviewed the video tapes and read the match supervisor's report. VPF found that the two yellow cards and the referee's drawing in this situation were appropriate, so they did not propose a penalty for Gong and Van Kien.
However, VPF will still send a document to coach Gong Oh-kyun and player Tran Van Kien to remind them to be more restrained in matches, in order to maintain a good image for themselves, the team and the tournament.
