Following President Ho Chi Minh's teaching "Emulation is patriotism, patriotism requires emulation", the Provincial Federation of Labor (FFL) has widely launched patriotic emulation movements, focusing on the movement "Good labor, creative labor". Every year, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor develops and implements plans to launch patriotic emulation movements among union members, workers, civil servants, and laborers (CNVCNLĐ). On that basis, trade unions at all levels specify, develop and implement plans to launch emulation movements according to each field, profession, and task of each agency, unit, and enterprise. Thanks to that, many topics and initiatives applied in practice have had a positive effect on improving labor productivity, contributing to increasing revenue for enterprises and income of workers, and improving working conditions. Notably, the initiative "Techniques for constructing retaining walls to limit landslides, applied in repairing leak pipes" by union member Nguyen Van Nhung - Phan Ri Cua Water Workshop under Tuy Phong Public Works Management Board.

Mr. Nhung shared: Water is supplied from Tuy Phong Water Plant (Phong Phu Commune) to the southern area of the district. Due to strong water pressure and many objective reasons, pipe leaks occur frequently, causing large water losses, increasing repair costs and affecting people's use. In addition, the water supply system is not invested in a synchronous manner, some pipe sections are deeper than 3m from the roadbed. There are areas with sandy ground, areas with quite high groundwater levels with fine muddy ground when digging to repair the leak, causing landslides, making it difficult to overcome and repair. Through application, his initiative has effectively solved the technical problem of pipe repair construction for many years, reducing the amount of excavated soil and shortening repair time, reducing labor costs, contributing to reducing costs for the unit.

The initiative "Improving literary appreciation for gifted 4th grade students" by teacher Huynh Thi Minh Loc - Hoa Thanh Primary School (Ham Thuan Bac) has helped students gain confidence and acquire knowledge even during online learning due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic.

Create a creative environment

With the development of the market economy, agencies, units and enterprises must pay more attention to organizing the construction of creative labor emulation movements and technical innovation movements because of the awareness that "standing still means falling behind". After 10 years of implementing Conclusion No. 79-KL/TW of the Politburo (11th tenure) on promoting the implementation of Resolution 20-NQ/TW of the Party Central Committee (10th tenure) on "Continuing to build the Vietnamese working class in the period of promoting industrialization and modernization of the country", the whole province has more than 12,000 initiatives, techniques and scientific research topics among workers. Of which, 715 initiatives registered to participate in the program "75 thousand initiatives to overcome difficulties and develop" and more than 3,300 initiatives participated in the program "1 initiative - efforts to overcome difficulties, creativity, determination to win the Covid-19 pandemic". There are 24 individuals who have been awarded creative labor certificates by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor for solutions...

This shows that the emulation movement "Good workers, creative workers" has aroused the potential and intelligence of workers, creating a combined strength for businesses, agencies and units to stabilize and develop. It creates motivation for cadres, employees and workers to compete in labor, production, creativity in work, and complete assigned tasks well.

According to the Standing Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor, in order to further improve the quality and effectiveness of emulation movements in general and the emulation movement "Good workers, creative workers" in particular, in the coming time, trade unions at all levels in the province will continue to focus on innovating the methods of directing and organizing emulation movements with the motto of focusing on the grassroots. Closely linking the content of the emulation movement "Good workers, creative workers" with emulation movements launched by sectors and localities. At the same time, promoting propaganda and replicating typical examples, acting as the nucleus to promote the movement to develop further.
