Summary of the first 6 months of Emulation Bloc 7

On the afternoon of August 1st, Emulation Bloc 7 held a preliminary review of its emulation activities for the first six months of 2023. Attending the meeting were leaders from six units: the Provincial Farmers' Association, the Provincial Youth Union, the Provincial Women's Union, the Provincial Veterans' Association, the Provincial Federation of Labor (deputy head of the bloc), and the Provincial Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (head of the bloc).

In the first six months of the year, units within Emulation Bloc 7 proactively implemented the signed agreements and focused on launching patriotic emulation movements linked to the fulfillment of key tasks in 2023. Notably, the units proactively organized over 5,300 sessions to disseminate and educate on Party resolutions and emulation movements; and cared for and protected the legitimate rights and interests of union members, association members, workers, civil servants, and the poor. Responding to the 2023 National Tourism Year " Binh Thuan - Green Convergence," the units coordinated and implemented many projects and tasks linked to the "Skilled Mass Mobilization" emulation movement with the theme of the year: "Urban beautification, preservation and protection of the environment, green, clean and beautiful landscape." These include many models and programs that create a ripple effect in the community, such as "Green House for Plastic Waste Collection," "Every Trade Union Branch Creates a Green Environment," "Exchange Plastic Waste for Gifts," "Women Acting for a Green Environment," "Mural Street," "Security Lighting," "Security Cameras," etc.

In addition, social welfare work and fundraising for funds at all levels of associations and organizations continued to be promoted. The "For the Poor" Fund raised nearly 5.4 billion VND, reaching 56.8% of its target, and the "Gratitude and Repayment" Fund raised over 4.5 billion VND, reaching 75.5%. Furthermore, based on these activities, units proactively incorporated social monitoring and feedback, directing grassroots units to develop specific monitoring plans. Currently, all six units have established and implemented social opinion groups. They regularly monitor ideological developments, living conditions, employment, and the implementation of policies and regulations for union members, association members, and workers, proactively proposing recommendations to employers and relevant agencies.

Many of the contents agreed upon by Emulation Bloc 7 will be implemented in the last six months of the year.

At the conference, members of Emulation Bloc 7 discussed and shared best practices in implementing tasks during the first six months of the year, while also discussing directions and tasks for the remaining six months of 2023. They agreed to accelerate the implementation of two tree planting projects, involving 2,000 black star trees, in response to the Prime Minister 's "Planting 1 Billion Trees in the 2021-2025 Period" project. Simultaneously, they agreed to innovate the content and methods of operation of the Fatherland Front and other associations and organizations, focusing strongly on the grassroots level to meet the requirements and tasks set forth in the province's security and order situation.
