Clearly recognizing this, in recent times, trade unions at all levels in the province have organized many cultural, artistic, and sports programs and activities, attracting a large number of workers to participate.

Create healthy playgrounds for workers

Thuan Tien Garment Company Limited is a garment enterprise in Phan Thiet Industrial Park with a large number of workers and long-term employee retention. Contributing to the above results, the union and the company always focus on improving and building a cultural working environment. In particular, the union always pays attention to creating all conditions to organize healthy playgrounds, helping workers to relax, exercise, and have enough health to work.

Environmental protection fashion contest at Thuan Tien Garment Company Limited

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Thuong - Chairman of the Trade Union of Thuan Tien Garment Company Limited shared: Every year, the Company's Trade Union builds plans and organizes cultural and sports movements based on actual conditions to create a useful playground for workers. These include the Perfect Couple Contest, Familiar Faces Contest, Cooking Contest, Fashion Show, Football Competition, Tug of War... on holidays and Workers' Month. Recently, on Vietnamese Women's Day, October 20, there was an environmental protection fashion contest. In costumes made from waste materials such as paper, plastic, nylon bags, fabric, tree bark, leaves... but 27 contestants from 26 trade union groups of the company still showed their grace and confidence on stage. The judges had to work very hard and had difficulty in choosing the best costume to award. Because every team showed creativity, elaborate preparation, and full of color. Not only meeting aesthetic needs, these costumes also achieved the requirement of sending a message about the harmful effects of plastic waste and reusing it to protect the environment. The audience, all members of the company, also had extremely interesting and exciting moments of entertainment after work.

Not only at Thuan Tien Garment Company, but also 36 grassroots trade unions under the Industrial Park Trade Union have paid attention to cultural, artistic and sports activities for workers in parallel with promoting labor production competition and promoting technical innovation initiatives. The focus is on cultural exchange programs, sports competitions on the occasion of Workers' Month, holidays, New Year, early spring meetings, and year-end parties, contributing to enriching spiritual life.

Maintain and develop the movement

Ms. Dang Thi Thanh Hoa - Vice President of the Provincial Federation of Labor (FFL) assessed: Organizing movement activities to improve the spiritual life of union members and workers, especially cultural exchange activities, physical education and sports, is considered one of the important tasks along with the process of performing work, production and business, contributing to building a healthy cultural environment in each unit and enterprise. Currently, the whole province has 539 agencies and enterprises interested in investing in sports and physical training grounds for union members and workers. In addition, the Federation of Labor of districts and trade unions at the industry level organize performances, sports festivals, football tournaments, men's and women's volleyball, cultural activities... so that many union members can participate. Particularly, the Provincial Federation of Labor, in the past 2 years, has coordinated with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to successfully organize the contest "Singing of union members, workers, civil servants and laborers of Binh Thuan province".

However, Ms. Dang Thi Thanh Hoa acknowledged: Currently, the system of cultural institutions serving cultural activities for workers in industrial parks is still limited and has not been invested properly and promptly. The work of building grassroots cultural life and physical education and sports movements among workers has not developed evenly and steadily. Activities are mainly concentrated in enterprises located in cities, towns, densely populated central areas, with economic, cultural and social development, and units with stable production and business...

Create conditions for female workers to participate in activities to improve spiritual life.

In order for the cultural, artistic and sports movements among workers to develop strongly and deeply, the Provincial Federation of Labor will continue to coordinate with specialized agencies, advise the Party Committee to direct localities to pay attention to enterprises located in the area to actively participate in building grassroots cultural life and sports movements among workers. It is expected that after the province allocates land in Ham Kiem Industrial Park, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor will invest in building kindergartens and cultural institutions to serve workers in the industrial park.

In addition, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor hopes that union officials at all levels will regularly research and innovate activities, through cultural and artistic movements, physical training and sports to propagate and mobilize union members and workers to understand the union, the role, position and tasks of union officials, thereby supporting and actively participating in activities launched by the union.
