At the meeting, comrade Nguyen Xuan Phoi - Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor informed: Up to now, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor has directed the grassroots congresses and the trade unions at the level directly above the grassroots to ensure the correct content and time as prescribed. Specifically, by May 31, 1,304/1,304 grassroots trade unions were eligible to organize congresses and conferences, reaching a rate of 100%. Of which, 26/26 grassroots trade unions organized model congresses. Evaluation after the congress showed that the quality of direction and organization of grassroots trade union congresses in this term was improved, many contents of documents and forms of organizing congresses were innovated, promoting democracy, concentrating intelligence, attracting the attention of many union members, participating, and contributing constructive opinions; recognized by Party committees at all levels. The Standing Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor also assigned Tuy Phong District Labor Federation to organize a model congress of the trade union at the level directly above the grassroots in May 2023. Immediately after that, 17/17 grassroots trade unions directly above successfully organized congresses, achieving 100% on schedule.
In preparation for the Provincial Trade Union Congress, the Provincial Federation of Labor Standing Committee has established subcommittees, proactively determined the content and program of the congress, drafted documents, reported on action programs to implement the Congress Resolution; personnel preparation; propaganda, decoration; logistics, security, etc.
At the meeting, the members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee contributed many ideas related to the preparation of the congress, such as implementing the congress program, personnel work, elections, amending and supplementing some words, etc.
Concluding the working session, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Hoai Anh requested the Provincial Federation of Labor to closely follow the instructions of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and prepare well the conditions for organizing the congress. In particular, pay attention to the preparation work, program and documents of the congress. Specifically, review the targets and tasks set out to ensure feasibility in implementation. Clearly state the development prospects of the province and assess the challenges in the coming time, forcing the trade union organization to constantly innovate the content and methods of operation. Regarding personnel work, it is necessary to carefully review, ensure compliance with regulations and quality of participation in key positions.
In addition, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requested the Provincial Federation of Labor to step up propaganda activities, creating a strong change in the awareness and responsibility of Party committees, Party organizations, authorities, the political system and the whole society about the meaning and importance of caring for, representing and protecting the rights and interests of union members and workers, promoting the role of trade union organizations.
