Mr. Huynh Van Chuong, Director of the Department of Quality Management (Ministry of Education and Training) said that the announcement of exam scores will still take place according to the Ministry's regulations, which is at 8:00 a.m. on July 18.
The units registering for the exam will receive the re-examination applications and make a list of re-examinations from July 18 to July 27, organize the re-examination of the exam (if any) no later than August 5; consider the recognition of high school graduation after the re-examination is completed no later than August 12.
For university admission candidates, from July 10-30, candidates can register and adjust their admission wishes without limit on the Ministry of Education and Training system. Candidates have 7 days to pay the admission fee, from July 31 to August 6, 2023.
Candidates will receive results (standard scores) on August 22 and confirm admission for the first round before 5:00 p.m. on September 6.
For the health and teacher training sector, the Ministry of Education and Training will announce the threshold to ensure input quality on July 25, 2023. From there, schools training in this sector will set the score to receive application documents for admission consideration.
Thus, the time to register for admission this year is only 20 days, while in 2022 it is one month. The time for candidates to know the benchmark score and enroll is also 3 weeks earlier than the September 17 and September 30 deadlines of last year.
This year, 1,024,063 candidates registered for the high school graduation exam. Of these, 968,160 candidates registered online, accounting for 94.42%; 57,104 candidates registered in person, accounting for 5.58%.
The total number of candidates who only took the graduation exam was 47,769, accounting for 4.66%. The total number of candidates who only took the admission exam was 34,155, accounting for 3.33%. The total number of candidates who registered for the Natural Science exam was 323,187, accounting for 31.52%. The total number of candidates who registered for the Social Science exam was 566,921, accounting for 55.30%.
The total number of candidates taking the exam was 1,012,398, accounting for 98.86% of the total number of candidates registered for the exam; of which, Literature: 99.65%; Math: 99.63%; Natural Sciences: 99.72%; Social Sciences: 99.62%; Foreign Languages: 99.61%.
