(CTTĐTBP) - On the afternoon of March 20, at Checkpoint No. 2, Hoa Lu International Border Gate Border Guard Station, Loc Hoa Commune, Loc Ninh District, Binh Phuoc Provincial People's Committee coordinated with units: Viettel, VNPT, Mobiphone to organize the inauguration ceremony of the project "Construction and installation of mobile receiving and transmitting stations in border areas" to welcome the 12th Provincial Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term.

Attending were Ms. Tran Tuyet Minh, Vice Chairman of Binh Phuoc Provincial People's Committee.

Binh Phuoc has a border with Cambodia of nearly 260km, passing through 3 districts of Loc Ninh, Bu Dop and Bu Gia Map with 15 border communes, complex terrain and weather. With the determination of all levels of government and the participation of telecommunications enterprises: Viettel, VNPT, Mobiphone, by the end of 2024, 39 BTS stations have been invested along the border patrol routes of the above districts.

Ms. Tran Tuyet Minh, Vice Chairman of Binh Phuoc Provincial People's Committee spoke at the ceremony.

By March 2025, 11 more stations will be completed, bringing the total number to 50 BTS stations, with a total construction cost of about 60 billion VND, from socialized sources of enterprises, ensuring coverage of 96% of border posts and militia posts, and coverage of 85% of residential areas and areas with production and business activities along the border patrol route. These efforts not only contribute to socio-economic development but also ensure national defense and security, and improve the quality of life of people in border areas.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Tran Tuyet Minh, Vice Chairwoman of Binh Phuoc Provincial People's Committee, said that the project's completion and operation not only contributes to socio-economic development but also ensures national defense and security, improving the quality of life of people in the border areas. Ms. Tran Tuyet Minh requested that all levels continue to update and deploy to meet the needs of ensuring smooth communication in the border areas.

Binh Phuoc province leaders presented certificates of merit and flowers to telecommunications enterprises participating in the project.

The Department of Science and Technology should survey which areas in residential areas are in the mobile signal depression zone, which areas have unstable mobile signal, and continue to research and report proposals, calling for socialization.

Border districts coordinate with the Department of Science and Technology and border guards to direct the management and effective use of border infrastructure. On the other hand, direct union members and community digital technology groups to continue to guide and support people to access and use the internet.

Ms. Tran Tuyet Minh, Vice Chairman of Binh Phuoc Provincial People's Committee and delegates visited the broadcasting station in Loc Tan commune, Loc Ninh district, which has just been put into operation.

In the coming time, the province will continue to coordinate with telecommunications enterprises to deploy more BTS stations to ensure 100% coverage of areas with border posts, militia posts, production and business areas and people's residences.
