Exploring the dragon mascot through the eyes of young artists

80 outstanding works about dragon mascots displayed at the exhibition "Drawing Dragons" have attracted the attention of a large audience. These are all works by young artists with a very new and creative perspective on dragons, the mascot of the year of the Dragon 2024.

The public comes to the exhibition "Drawing the Dragon".

On the afternoon of January 19, at the Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam relic site (Hanoi), the Center for Cultural and Scientific Activities of the Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam organized a painting exhibition with the theme "Drawing the Dragon".

The exhibition features the best works selected from the Illustration Challenge #13 illustration contest organized by creative enterprise Tired City and young artist community Vietnam Local Artist Group (VLAG) in November 2023.

In particular, as a business operating with the orientation of bringing Vietnamese art and culture closer to domestic and international audiences, Tired City has contributed to spreading Vietnamese creativity through commercial collaboration with more than 300 artists, creating more than 100,000 commercial products for domestic and foreign markets. Tired City's partner, Vietnam Local Artist Group, is a community gathering more than 125,000 members, regularly holding large-scale drawing competitions and direct/online exchange activities.

The exhibition “Drawing the Dragon” presents 80 of the most outstanding works from the competition. These are the creative achievements of dozens of young artists. Coming to the exhibition, visitors will immerse themselves in stories about dragons inspired by legends, culture, movies, stories and everyday life.

At the opening ceremony of the exhibition, Director of the Center for Scientific and Cultural Activities of the Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam Le Xuan Kieu said that the exhibition aims to bring visual arrangements to people and tourists when visiting the Temple of Literature relic, at the same time visitors can better understand the spiritual symbolic value of the dragon image in the cultural activities of the Vietnamese people.

In addition to the exhibition at the Temple of Literature, on this occasion, the Thang Long – Hanoi Heritage Conservation Center also exhibited 30 other works selected from the above competition.

The exhibition is open from now until February 20.
