The 2024 Quang Ngai Provincial Children's Fine Arts Award attracted 212 contestants from across the province. This is a place for children who love fine arts and have a talent for painting to develop their aesthetic thinking and express their creativity to create colorful pictures of life.
The work "Hat Boi in the Fishing Festival of Vietnamese Fishermen" by Bui Hoang Lan
Coming to this year's award, Bui Hoang Lan, class 8A, Pho Vinh Secondary School, Duc Pho town, excellently won first prize with the work "Hat Boi in the Fishing Festival of Vietnamese Fishermen". Hoang Lan said that painting is her favorite subject, so she was very happy to be selected to participate in this award. After stressful study hours or in her free time, drawing is one of the forms she often chooses for entertainment.
“I am very happy to participate in this award. This award is very meaningful, not only helping us have fun and healthy entertainment during the summer, but also allowing us to freely create and express what we want to say through our works,” Lan shared.
The works are displayed at Tran Hung Dao Secondary School, Quang Ngai City.
With the theme of this year's Award being "Discovering Tourism ", the children closely followed the theme and drew pictures with many contents such as praising the love of the sea and islands; joy in production work; traditional cultural values of ethnic groups in Quang Ngai province; festivals, folk beliefs; famous landscapes and landscapes; tourism products and community tourism models of the province...
The children's paintings are of artistic quality and creativity.
The 2024 Quang Ngai Provincial Children's Fine Arts Awards attracted 212 contestants from across the province. Of which, the preschool group had 28 contestants, the primary school group had 100 contestants, the secondary school group had 84 contestants from 12 Departments of Education and Training of districts, towns, cities and the Vo Hong Son Center for Children with Disabilities; the Provincial Center for Supporting the Development of Inclusive Education; and the Dien Hong Youth and Children's Activity Center participated.

Ms. Huynh Thi Suong, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Ngai province, said that the children's paintings have high artistic quality, with many funny, innocent and novel creations, and a variety of materials such as: gouache, watercolor, acrylic, wax, pastel, oil paint, torn paper, collage...
“The painting movement has attracted the enthusiastic participation of many children. The Fine Arts Award has created a great influence in schools and students. At the same time, it creates a healthy and useful playground, helping children develop and form awareness, independent thinking on the topic of painting, promote creativity, express their ideas, talents, thoughts, and actions through each painting, arousing love for the homeland and country”, Ms. Suong expressed.
Awarding prizes to the winners of the competition
At the end of the tournament, the Organizing Committee awarded 3 first prizes, 6 second prizes, 9 third prizes and 18 consolation prizes to the students.
