Cho Lach Ornamental Flower Festival - one of the unique events of the Southwest region - will officially take place from January 8 to 12, 2025 at the Cultural Tourism Village of Cho Lach district, Ben Tre province.

On the afternoon of December 15 in Ho Chi Minh City, the People's Committee of Cho Lach district held a meeting to inform about the Cho Lach Ornamental Flower Festival to promote the event to the business community and tourists of the city.
According to Mr. Pham Anh Linh, Chairman of Cho Lach District People's Committee, the festival is organized with programs, activities of display, exhibition, contest, culture and art, cuisine, entertainment... bringing a fresh "Cho Lach Colors".
This will also be a meeting place for the hardworking garden farming community, honoring the traditional ornamental plant and flower industry, bringing diverse experiences to visitors.
Not only a cultural event, the event is also an opportunity to promote agricultural value chain linkages, enhance local brands and position Cho Lach as the leading flower and ornamental plant center in the country.
Inspired by the bright and diverse colors of ornamental flowers, the festival is also an activity to celebrate "Ben Tre Province Traditional Day" (January 17), recognized by the Government at the end of 2024.
The festival builds a unique cultural space, including the first "Cho Lach Royal Rooster" competition with more than 150 fighting roosters participating; Bonsai and Golden Apricot Competition, exchanges with prestigious domestic and international artisans and especially a unique folk art exchange and performance program.
The organizers said they will set a Guinness Vietnam record for the longest flower and ornamental plant route in Vietnam (15 km). Exhibition of OCOP products, seedlings, ornamental plants and agricultural economic achievements.
It is expected that there will be more than 100 booths displaying and promoting ornamental flowers and seedlings. The creative livestream market will be directly implemented by farmers, in combination with KOLs, technology and logistics businesses.
Launching the space “Cho Lach artisans read books with Xich Lo”, contributing to providing books, information and regular meeting places for local artisans to share experiences, skills, connect with market information; or contests on making cakes and mixing drinks from local agricultural ingredients.
Visitors also have the opportunity to experience typical garden cuisine, participate in folk games and tour programs - green countryside discovery routes. On this occasion, the district will also launch a set of mascots and souvenirs bearing the mark of Cho Lach.
Mr. Nguyen Minh Duc - Vice Chairman of the district - said that Cho Lach is known not only as the largest producer of plant varieties in the country but also as the "kingdom of flowers and ornamental plants". Through the festival, the locality also hopes to attract more attention and investment from businesses, organizations and tourists, contributing to promoting the sustainable socio-economic development of the district.
Cho Lach Cultural Tourism Village is a model village in the Mekong Delta region selected by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development for a pilot project. The village is not only the pride of Cho Lach people but is also considered an attractive destination for domestic and foreign tourists.
