At the Astronomical Park, Rio de Janeiro, in a space imbued with Vietnamese culture, artisan Nguyen Dang Tam - who was awarded the title of Meritorious Artisan by the President, is meticulously arranging ink trays, woodblocks, and Do paper at his desk. Behind him, iconic Dong Ho paintings such as Mouse Wedding, Rose Rooster, Baby Holding Duck... are neatly hung. Pointing to the "Mouse Wedding" painting, he shared: "The quintessence and identity of Vietnamese culture are hidden in each Dong Ho painting. I believe international friends will feel those values ​​through this experience!"

To spread Dong Ho paintings in Brazil, Mr. Tam has creatively combined many materials, painted on bamboo blinds and created convenient wooden frames for visitors to easily take home as souvenirs. Many visitors enjoy being able to roll up the paintings compactly as gifts or for display. In particular, children, after experiencing the painting process, have learned more about this unique folk painting genre, imbued with Vietnamese style.

The "54 Vietnamese Ethnic Groups" wall is the highlight of "Vietnam Day in Brazil 2024". The series of paintings by young author Truong An Dan (Nemoo) depicts the costumes and customs of 54 ethnic groups, conveying the message of unity and solidarity in diversity with cultural colors imbued with Vietnamese national identity. Through admiring the paintings and playing with the puzzle, the Brazilian public had interesting interactive experiences, and at the same time, deeply felt the beauty of Vietnamese culture.

Bringing a unique touch, the lacquer products exhibition area has become a unique cultural exchange space, displaying works by artist Tran Anh Tuan - Head of Lacquer Department, Hanoi University of Industrial Fine Arts, and international students. In particular, visitors can experience a new perspective on Vietnamese lacquer art through the creative and sophisticated lens of Fabi Mesquita, a student from the land of brilliant carnival festivals.

At the "Tò he" area, visitors were very attentive and excited when creating colorful and lovely objects from the smooth and friendly rice flour. Roses, soccer players, macaws... the folk art "Tò he" conveyed messages and bridges honoring the diverse cultural values ​​of both Vietnam and Brazil. Rita Yamas - 37 years old happily said: "Not only my child likes "Tò he" but I also like it very much, it is very eye-catching and lively. It is interesting to know that "Tò he" is made from rice flour. In Brazil, we also have a lot of rice, but we have never had anything like this!".

Artist Phan Thanh Liem's ​​"miniature water puppet stage" is not only a performance venue but also a place that evokes the most emotions in viewers. In front of the images of the banyan tree, the ferry, the communal house roof - the simple yet familiar features of the homeland, Ms. Isabel Lam, a Vietnamese living far from home, cannot help but be moved. For her, each line, each movement of the puppet tells a story of her homeland, bringing her back to her beloved memories in the heart of the vibrant capital of Rio de Janeiro.
