Opening of the 3rd Vietnam Bread Festival

Ms. Nguyen Thi Khanh, Chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Association, said that the festival will gather 150 - 180 booths, not only introducing bread products but also displaying baking ingredients and special side dishes.

With the message “Vietnamese bread, world culinary value - Spreading to five continents”, the 3rd Vietnamese Bread Festival not only brings traditional meat sandwiches but also many creative variations: seafood sandwiches, baguettes, sweet sandwiches, sesame sandwiches and even baked sandwiches on the spot.

Lễ hội Bánh mì Việt Nam do Hiệp hội Du lịch TP Hồ Chí Minh tổ chức nhằm tôn vinh bánh mì - biểu tượng ẩm thực Việt, đồng thời quảng bá rộng rãi đến bạn bè quốc tế.

The Vietnam Bread Festival is organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Association to honor bread - a symbol of Vietnamese cuisine, and at the same time widely promote it to international friends.

"One of the most impressive highlights of this year's Festival is the record-setting program of "100 seafood-based bread dishes". Accordingly, all are displayed on a large boat model, symbolizing the journey of Vietnamese bread reaching out to the world. The display is not only unique but also demonstrates the spirit of creativity and island culture", Ms. Nguyen Thi Khanh added.

Các thương hiệu đình đám tham gia lễ hội gồm: Bánh mì cụ Lý, Bánh mì Huynh Hoa, Icool Nguyên Sinh, Sunrises Kebab, Bánh mì Pew Pew.

Famous brands participating in the festival include: Banh mi Cu Ly, Banh mi Huynh Hoa, Icool Nguyen Sinh, Sunrises Kebab, Banh mi Pew Pew.

Những chiếc bánh mì được tạo hình ngộ nghĩnh tại lễ hội, thu hút nhiều thực khách chiêm ngưỡng.

The breads are shaped in funny shapes at the festival, attracting many diners to admire.

Lễ hội mang đến nhiều hoạt động hấp dẫn như: không gian giao lưu văn hóa, nơi du khách có cơ hội gặp gỡ các nghệ nhân làm bánh, đầu bếp; tự tay làm bánh mì và thưởng thức bánh mì kết hợp với cà phê.

The festival offers many exciting activities such as: cultural exchange space, where visitors have the opportunity to meet bakers and chefs; make bread by themselves and enjoy bread combined with coffee.

Điểm nhấn của Lễ hội là đại tiệc buffet bánh mì kết hợp cà phê; nơi phục vụ hàng trăm loại bánh mì từ nhiều quốc gia cùng các món ăn Việt Nam, mang đến trải nghiệm ẩm thực phong phú.

The highlight of the Festival is the bread and coffee buffet; serving hundreds of types of bread from many countries along with Vietnamese dishes, providing a rich culinary experience.

Chị Ngọc Hân, ngụ quận 3 (TP HCM) cho biết: "Tôi rất yêu thích bánh mì Việt Nam nên khi nghe tin về lễ hội, tôi háo hức đến tham gia. Đến sớm nhưng tôi đã thấy dòng người xếp hàng dài".

Ms. Ngoc Han, living in District 3 (HCMC) said: "I really love Vietnamese bread, so when I heard about the festival, I was eager to participate. I arrived early but I saw a long line of people."
