Launching Olympic Running Day and Tien Phong Cross Country Race 2025

Attending the launching ceremony were comrades: Nguyen Van Son, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Hoang Viet Phuong, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Organizing Committee of the Olympic Running Day and Tien Phong Cross-Country Race 2025; Nguyen The Giang, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of departments, branches, sectors, the City People's Committee, and a large number of people, students in the province.

This year's Olympic Run for the Health of the People of Tuyen Quang province attracted nearly 2,000 officials, civil servants, armed forces, people and students to participate.

Delegates presented flags and flowers to the delegations participating in the 2025 Tien Phong Cross Country Race.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Viet Phuong called on all cadres, civil servants, public employees, workers, soldiers of the armed forces, students and all people to choose a suitable sport to practice to improve their health, contributing positively to the cause of national construction and development.

He emphasized that the launching ceremony of the Olympic Running Day for the Health of All People and the Tien Phong Cross-Country Race of Tuyen Quang Province in 2025 is an annual sports activity with practical significance for Tuyen Quang Province and the whole country to celebrate the 79th anniversary of Vietnam Sports Day (March 27, 1946 - March 27, 2025); 50 years of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).

This is also an opportunity to promote, encourage and motivate all people to actively participate in physical exercise and sports, respond to the Campaign "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho" and the movement "Healthy to build a career and defend the country" among young people nationwide, contributing to improving health to serve study, work, production, construction and defense of the Fatherland.

In addition, the Launching Ceremony also aims to promote and raise awareness of the role and effects of physical exercise and sports in protecting and improving people's health and quality of life, building a healthy lifestyle and cultural environment, contributing to strengthening the great national unity bloc; mobilizing all people to choose suitable sports to practice every day, in order to create a habit of exercising and practicing sports.

Many people from all walks of life participated in the running day.

After the launching ceremony, delegates, officials, people and students participated in a 1km run around Nguyen Tat Thanh Square. Then, athletes participated in the Tien Phong cross-country race in the main male category of 7km; main female category of 3km; young male category of 6km; young female category of 2.5km.
