Built in 1966 and until 1980, Oscar Saigon Hotel was under the City Tourism Company (now Saigon Tourist Corporation - Saigontourist Group). As one of the typical international hotels in Ho Chi Minh City, the hotel has undergone two repairs, upgrades and new investments in 1993 and 2019. On July 28, 1993, the hotel was assessed and recognized as meeting 3-star standards by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism.
