According to the Daily Mail, legend Bobby Charlton passed away on the morning of October 21 (local time) with his family. Previously, since being diagnosed with dementia in late 2020 and no longer lucid, the former English player has not appeared in public.
Bobby Charlton was born in 1937 and is considered one of the greatest players in the history of English football. He was an important member of the Three Lions squad that won the World Cup in 1966. During his illustrious career, Bobby Charlton played 758 times for Man Utd and 106 matches for the England national team.
' It is with great sadness that we announce that Sir Bobby Charlton passed away peacefully in the early hours of Saturday morning. He passed away surrounded by his family. The Charlton family would like to thank everyone who cared for him, and who loved and supported him. We ask that the family be given privacy at this time,' the family said in a statement.
