Dak Mil District People's Committee confirmed that the hot and dry weather situation in the district is complicated. In addition to the above-mentioned crop area, about 270 households will face difficulties in domestic water supply during this dry season.

Most of the crop areas lacking irrigation water are coffee and pepper, concentrated in the communes of Dak Gan (950ha), Dak Lao (about 900ha), Duc Manh (about 756ha), Dak R'la (about 602ha), Dak N'Drot (about 500ha)...
According to the Dak Mil District People's Committee, the weather is currently entering the peak of the dry season. People's demand for water is increasing, so the capacity of reservoirs is continuously decreasing. Some lakes such as Dak Ken Lake, Doi 40 Lake, Doi 35 Lake... have run out of water since the beginning of March 2025.

If there is no solution to supplement irrigation water from other lakes, it will affect the productivity of more than 470 hectares of perennial crops such as coffee and pepper.
Dak Mil District People's Committee has directed relevant units and commune authorities to strengthen propaganda and instruct people to store water from the beginning of the season and use water reasonably and economically.

The government proactively coordinates with the Provincial Irrigation Works Exploitation Company Limited to monitor and grasp the production situation, water resources, and drought to have drought prevention plans for each area.
