Potential waiting to be awakened

Stepping into Tuy Duc border district, visitors feel like they are lost in another world, where nature still retains its pristine beauty.

A place where the sound of flowing streams blends with the sound of forest winds and each rock and tree root contains mysterious and legendary stories. This is not only a destination for relaxation, but also a journey to discover and experience the most original values of the mysterious highland.

Although Duc has a 44km border with Cambodia, it also gives the district great potential to develop eco-tourism, forest and landscape experiences.

Mentioning Tuy Duc is mentioning majestic waterfalls in the middle of the jungle, winding roads next to immense green pine forests. Among them, we cannot fail to mention Dak G'lun waterfall, one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Dak Nong.

The waterfall is over 50m high and about 15m wide, creating a majestic natural picture. The waterfall falls from a steep cliff, creating white foam like a silk strip in the middle of the old forest, making anyone who sets foot here amazed.

Dak G'lun Waterfall was voted as one of the top 50 most attractive destinations in Vietnam in 2024 and the top 10 majestic waterfalls associated with many interesting legends of Vietnam.

Every year, this place welcomes more than 30,000 visitors to admire the pristine beauty of the waterfall, listen to the murmuring sound of the stream and the chirping of birds in the deep forest.

With more than 44km of border with Cambodia, Tuy Duc has great potential to develop eco-tourism, experiences, and landscapes. The primeval forests, pine forests, and vast grassy hills here are home to many rare species of animals and plants, attracting tourists who love to experience and explore nature.

Although Germany has fresh air, poetic scenery and the tranquility of the mountains and forests, it is an ideal destination for those who want to get away from the hustle and bustle of urban life.

Although Duc has fresh air, poetic scenery and the tranquility of the mountains and forests, it is an ideal destination for those who want to get away from the hustle and bustle of urban life. In the season of wild sunflowers and mua tom flowers blooming, the red basalt dirt roads glow brightly in wild yellow, creating a breathtakingly beautiful scene.

Not only possessing majestic nature, Tuy Duc is also a "living museum" preserving the original cultural values of the M'nong people. The sound of gongs echoing through the mountains and forests, festivals imbued with identity such as the water-wharf worship ceremony, the new rice celebration, the community reunion ceremony or artisans diligently weaving brocade, all create a Tuy Duc that is both mysterious and attractive.

Tuy Duc district still preserves many festivals with strong identity such as the water wharf worshiping ceremony, the new rice celebration ceremony, and the community reunion ceremony.

Traditional festivals that are still preserved and recreated not only attract local people but also attract thousands of tourists each time they are held, becoming a bridge to bring Central Highlands culture closer to tourists from all over the world.

Currently, Tuy Duc district has more than 25 sets of precious gongs, more than 70 artisans who know how to play gongs, 7 artisans who know how to tune gongs and 17 artisans who teach gongs.

In addition to its natural landscape and indigenous culture, Tuy Duc is also a land that has marked many important historical events. There are 6 historical sites ranked in the area, of which the Truong Son - Ho Chi Minh route is recognized as a special national site. In recent years, these sites have welcomed more than 5,000 visitors.

Many unique tourism products in Tuy Duc district can be exploited to serve tourists.

The district also has national historical sites such as the sites of the M'Nong people's struggle against French colonialism led by N'Trang Long, Bu Mera Fort (Dak Buk So commune); the site of the victory at Bu Prang Fort (Quang Truc commune)... which are testaments to the steadfast spirit of the Central Highlands people.

If invested in and developed to become tourist attractions, they will be red addresses to help the younger generation better understand the heroic history of the nation.

I was very impressed with Dak G'lun waterfall. The fresh air, wild landscape, not much commercialized helped me feel truly relaxed.

Those who come to Tuy Duc for the first time can feel the difference - a pristine beauty that is rarely preserved anywhere else.

Although Germany is in the season of blooming flowers

Each path here seems to lead visitors from one surprise to another: a crystal clear stream, a vast grass field, or coffee plantations in full bloom, stretching out in the distance, exuding a passionate fragrance in the wind.

Unmissable destination in the future

To promote its existing potential, Tuy Duc district is focusing on three main development directions including eco-tourism, cultural-community tourism and historical-spiritual cultural tourism.

In the immediate future, the district is gradually investing in and completing infrastructure, improving the transportation system to connect tourist destinations, and upgrading roads for easy access for tourists. Eco-tourism areas such as Dak G'lun waterfall, Dak Buk So waterfall, and the Southern Central Highlands forest are being planned, gradually creating attractive tourism products.

Although Germany has vast pine hills, it is an ideal stop for tourists on the same border.

Regarding cultural and community tourism, the district is forming a number of M'nong village models that both preserve culture and combine tourism to experience daily life with the people. Traditional festivals are held more frequently, not only to preserve culture but also to promote the local image.

Cultural, historical and spiritual tourism is also a potential direction. Historical sites such as Bu Mera Fort, Bu P'rang Fort Victory Site or Bu P'rang Border Post Area will be interesting places to visit, helping visitors understand more about the heroic history of this land.

At the same time, the district strengthens tourism promotion on digital platforms, coordinates with travel agencies to organize specialized tours, attracting domestic and foreign tourists.

Mr. Nguyen Van Anh, Vice Chairman of Tuy Duc District People's Committee, said that to effectively exploit tourism potential, the district has built a synchronous and long-term strategy.

The district focuses on calling for investment, especially in the field of eco-tourism, community tourism associated with cultural preservation to create a highlight for the district's own tourism products. The district pays special attention to investing in infrastructure, and traffic roads are soon upgraded to help the district connect to ensure more convenient transportation for tourists.

"The locality aims to link tourism with indigenous culture. Tourism activities will incorporate the beauty of M'nong culture into tourism products, helping visitors have the most authentic experience. Homestay models and community tours will be formed and promoted effectively in the coming time," Mr. Nguyen Van Anh emphasized.
