More than 2 days of hunting for the group that attacked the People's Committee headquarters in Dak Lak

Early on the morning of June 11, a group of armed men attacked the headquarters of Ea Tieu and Ea Ktur communes, Cu Kuin district, killing four commune police officers, three civilians, and seriously injuring two commune police officers.

Immediately after the incident, forces from the Ministry of Public Security, Dak Lak Provincial Police and other functional units immediately took action to arrest the subjects.

As of 11:00 a.m. on June 11, the authorities arrested 6 people. At 4:30 p.m. on the same day, 16 people were arrested. On the morning of June 12, the total number of people arrested was 22, by 6:30 p.m. on the same day, the police had arrested a total of 27 people. As of 9:00 a.m. on June 13, a total of 39 people were arrested and   The investigation into the incident is still ongoing.

On the afternoon of June 11, the Minister of Public Security decided to posthumously promote the rank of Captain to Major for Mr. Hoang Trung (born in 1981, hometown Nghi Loc district, Nghe An), a police officer of Ea Ktur commune, Cu Kuin district;

Posthumously promote the rank of Captain from Senior Lieutenant to Captain for Mr. Nguyen Dang Nhan (born in 1994, hometown Yen Thanh district, Nghe An), police officer of Ea Ktur commune, Cu Kuin district;

Posthumously promote the rank of Captain to Major for Mr. Tran Quoc Thang (born in 1989, hometown Thach Ha district, Ha Tinh), police officer of Ea Tieu commune, Cu Kuin district;

Posthumously promote the rank of Captain from Senior Lieutenant to Captain for Mr. Ha Tuan Anh (born in 1991, hometown Trieu Son district, Thanh Hoa), police officer of Ea Tieu commune, Cu Kuin district.

On the morning of June 12, the Government delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang had a working session with the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee to hear a quick report on the incident that occurred in the early morning of June 11 in Cu Kuin district.

After the working session, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang and his delegation visited and encouraged the victims.

On the same day, Senior Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang, Deputy Minister of Public Security, and a delegation from the Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Police visited and paid tribute to the commune police officers who died or were injured while on duty at the commune headquarters in Cu Kuin district.

Leaders of the Ministry of Public Security and departments, branches and organizations expressed their deepest condolences to the relatives and families of the four sacrificed commune police officers and the relatives and families of the two commune officers and three deceased civilians.

Leaders of the Ministry of Public Security and organizations, departments and branches have encouraged the spirit and provided material support to the families and injured officers to help them soon stabilize their lives and recover their health.

On June 12, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang signed a decision to award the "Fatherland's Gratitude" certificate to 6 martyrs who died on June 11 in the attack on the headquarters of two communes of Ea Tieu and Ea Ktur, Cu Kuin district, Dak Lak province. Among the 6 martyrs, 4 were police officers: Major Hoang Trung, an officer of the Ea Ktur Commune Police; Captain Nguyen Dang Nhan, an officer of the Ea Ktur Commune Police; Major Tran Quoc Thang, an officer of the Ea Tieu Commune Police; Captain Ha Tuan Anh, an officer of the Ea Tieu Commune Police.

The two martyrs from Dak Lak province include: Mr. Nguyen Van Dung, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ea Tieu commune and Mr. Nguyen Van Kien, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Ea Ktur commune.
