22 suspects arrested

Thus, from the night of June 11 to the morning of June 12, the police arrested 6 more suspects involved in the attack on 2 commune People's Committee headquarters in Dak Lak.

Forces spent all night hunting down the group of people who attacked two commune People's Committee headquarters in Dak Lak and continued to hunt down the remaining people, Lieutenant General To An Xo said.

The incident occurred early on the morning of June 11, in Cu Kuin district, when a group of unidentified people used guns to attack the police headquarters of Ea Tieu and Ea Ktur communes, killing and injuring a number of commune officials, commune police and residents.

The Ministry of Public Security has directed Dak Lak Provincial Police and professional units to deploy to arrest the above group of people.

At the same time, the Ministry of Public Security also issued a notice asking people in Cu Kuin district and neighboring areas to remain calm, not panic, and follow the requests of local authorities and functional forces.

If anyone has information related to the above group of people, please provide it immediately to the nearest police station.

By noon of the same day, the authorities had arrested six suspects involved in the attack on the commune police headquarters in Cu Kuin district.

The leader of Cu Kuin District Party Committee, Dak Lak said that of the 6 suspects arrested, 1 was from Ayun Pa town, Gia Lai province; 3 were from Krong Buk district and 2 were from Cu Mgar district (Dak Lak).

After a day of intense pursuit, by yesterday evening (June 11), the authorities had arrested 10 more suspects, bringing the total to 16 people arrested in connection with the attack on two commune police headquarters in Cu Kuin district, Dak Lak.

Police also seized many weapons including knives and guns that the group used to commit the crime. Authorities also freed two citizens who were taken hostage, and the third citizen freed himself.

According to the Ministry of Public Security, by the evening of June 11, no civilians were still being held hostage by the suspects.

On June 11, General To Lam, Minister of Public Security, signed a decision to posthumously promote the ranks of four police officers who died in the attack on two commune police headquarters in Dak Lak province.

Accordingly, Captain Hoang Trung, 42 years old, a police officer of Ea Ktur commune, Cu Kuin district, Dak Lak province, was posthumously promoted to major. Ea Ktur commune police officer Nguyen Dang Nhan was posthumously promoted from first lieutenant to captain. Both police officers are from Nghe An province.

Posthumously promote the rank from captain to major for Mr. Tran Quoc Thang, 34 years old, Ea Tieu Commune Police officer; posthumously promote the rank from first lieutenant to captain for Ea Tieu Commune Police officer Ha Tuan Anh.
