(NLDO) - Increasing the Tet holiday by 2 days is to facilitate students and parents and does not affect the school year's plans and tasks.
On the afternoon of December 12, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee issued a document approving the proposal of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training to increase the number of days off for the Lunar New Year 2025 for Ho Chi Minh City students by 2 days.
Accordingly, the Tet holiday starts from January 23, 2025 (December 24) to February 2, 2025 (January 5), a total of 11 days.
Thus, students in Ho Chi Minh City will have 2 more days off for Tet than the decision in the 2024-2025 school year. Specifically, 2 days before Tet At Ty.
Ho Chi Minh City students get 2 more days off for Tet
Previously, Mr. Nguyen Van Hieu, Director of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, said that the department had proposed a 2025 Lunar New Year holiday schedule for students from January 23 to February 2, 2025.
According to Mr. Hieu, increasing the Tet holiday by 2 days will facilitate students and parents and will not affect the school year's plans and tasks.
The Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City proposed to increase the Tet holiday by 2 days, which was agreed by most parents, students and teachers of Ho Chi Minh City.
The previous 9-day Tet holiday was considered too short, affecting the plans of many parents and students, especially families living far away who planned to return home for Tet.
