Attending the event were Mr. Nguyen Thanh Cuong - Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoang Oanh - Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee.
In 2024, the Party Committee, the government, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations of the city have paid attention to leading and directing the effective implementation of regulations on democracy at the grassroots level for all agencies, units and localities; the sense of responsibility to serve the people of the team of Party members, civil servants and public employees has been raised, and the democratic rights of all classes of people have been promoted. Thereby, strengthening the people's trust in the Party and government, creating a driving force to promote the city's socio-economic development.
Notably, in the 2024 mass mobilization campaign, with the motto "People for the people", Tay Ninh city mobilized the combined strength of the entire political system with More than 10,000 working days were spent on many meaningful projects and tasks such as: clearing, patching, digging, upgrading, and renovating 86,200m of roads, dredging 1,530m of canals, ditches, and sewers; cleaning public works, collecting 25.8 tons of waste; planting 330 trees on the roads; lighting 4 roads with a length of 3,200m, with a total value of more than 21 million VND.
At the same time, the city mobilized maximum resources from the people with more than 1.5 billion VND to take care of the poor during the campaign to do mass mobilization work.
In addition, local people supported thousands of portions of food, drinks and more than 1,040 kg of vegetables, tubers and fruits for the mass mobilization force with a total value of tens of millions of VND.
On this occasion, the City People's Committee awarded 27 collectives and 40 individuals with achievements in implementing grassroots democracy regulations and coordinating inter-sectoral work in mass mobilization in 2024.
