National Conference on Judicial Work Deployment in 2025

In 2024, the Ministry of Justice has made efforts to overcome difficulties, focused on comprehensive and timely implementation, and completed assigned political tasks, making important contributions to the common achievements in socio-economic development; ensuring national defense and security; preventing and combating corruption; judicial reform; building and perfecting the socialist rule-of-law state of Vietnam. In particular, the administrative reform index of the Ministry of Justice ranked first out of 17 ministries, the 6th consecutive year maintaining the group of 3 ministries leading in the ministerial-level administrative reform index.

The Ministry of Justice has coordinated with ministries and branches to advise the Government to submit to the National Assembly for approval 28 laws and 5 normative resolutions. The Ministry of Justice alone presided over, developed and submitted to the Government for approval of 3 laws and 1 resolution at the 7th and 8th Sessions; appraised 33 proposals for drafting legal documents and 176 projects and draft legal documents; advised on the effective implementation of the activities of the Steering Committee for reviewing and handling difficulties in the legal document system to promptly review and handle difficulties and inadequacies in legal regulations, proposed the Government to report to the National Assembly at the 8th Session, the 15th National Assembly to consider and promulgate 3 laws amending 13 laws in the field of finance and investment planning to promptly remove difficulties arising in practice, hindering development...

Delegates listened to the main contents of the Conclusion of General Secretary To Lam at the working session with the Party Executive Committee of the Ministry of Justice on November 7, 2024. The conference spent a lot of time discussing and evaluating the level of task completion; sharing new and effective models and methods; difficulties, limitations and causes in implementing key tasks in 2024; proposing and recommending solutions to complete key tasks in 2025. At the same time, launching an emulation movement to successfully implement tasks of the entire Justice sector in 2025.

Speaking at the conference, Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long suggested that in 2025, the Ministry of Justice should promptly grasp, advise on the full institutionalization and strictly and effectively implement resolutions, directives, conclusions and directive documents of the Party Central Committee, the Politburo, the Secretariat, the National Assembly, the Government and the Prime Minister related to the fields of work of the Ministry of Justice, especially the work of building and enforcing laws in the spirit of the direction of General Secretary To Lam at the working session with the Party Committee of the Ministry of Justice; develop and submit to the Politburo for promulgation a Directive on "Innovation in building and enforcing laws to meet the requirements of national development in the new era".

Focus on reviewing the structure, functions, and tasks, proposing and implementing plans to arrange and consolidate the organization and apparatus of the Ministry of Justice to ensure streamlining, strength, efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance with regulations and directions of the Central Steering Committee and the Government Steering Committee, in conjunction with restructuring and improving the quality of the staff, civil servants, and public employees.

The Ministry of Justice continues to pay attention to and promote digital transformation in law-making and law enforcement in conjunction with the implementation of assigned tasks in Project 06 of the Prime Minister; build, upgrade, and perfect information systems, databases, and application software of the Justice sector to ensure the implementation of tasks in the network environment and a number of other important contents.
