Reporting on the performance of the Scientific Council of the Central Party Agencies since the beginning of the term, Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Van Phuc - Vice Chairman of the Council emphasized 9 outstanding results, in which the task of consulting and orienting scientific activities, contributing to helping the Central Party agencies and committees do a good job of advising and assisting the Central Executive Committee, the Politburo, and the Secretariat has been well performed.

According to Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Van Phuc, since the beginning of the term, the Council has oriented, managed, and guided the implementation of 168 scientific tasks. Of these, 18 tasks are applied to contributing to summarizing 40 years of innovation and developing draft documents to submit to the 14th National Party Congress; 34 tasks are applied to developing projects to submit to the Central Executive Committee, the Politburo, and the Secretariat to issue resolutions, directives, conclusions, and regulations; 81 tasks are applied to implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Congress and Central resolutions in various fields; 21 tasks are applied to innovating the content and working methods of the Central Party Committees and agencies; 14 tasks are applied to innovating professional and technical activities of departments and units in the Central Party Committees and agencies.
Notably, the awareness of leaders of Central Party committees and agencies towards scientific activities shows a broad vision, considering scientific activities as an important political task of agencies and units.
In addition to the achieved results, Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Van Phuc frankly pointed out 5 limitations: New research topics, with strategic scope, and problem-discovery are not really numerous; the quality of reports submitted to the Politburo, the Secretariat, and the Heads of Central Party Committees and agencies of some scientific tasks has not really met the requirements; some scientific tasks have not ensured progress according to the contract; Training, education, and professional development for scientific research staff have not ensured the plan; the application of research results after acceptance has not been given due attention.
From there, the Council proactively proposed key directions, tasks and solutions; made recommendations to the Secretariat, leaders of the Central Party Committees and agencies, leaders of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Finance and relevant agencies to remove difficulties and promote scientific activities in the coming time.

Also at the Conference, the Central Propaganda Department announced the Decision on the composition of the Scientific Council of Central Party Agencies for the 2021-2026 term, including 26 people: Mr. Lai Xuan Mon, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, is Chairman of the Scientific Council of Central Party Agencies; 5 Vice Chairmen of the Council and 20 Council Members.
Speaking at the Conference, Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia - Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda Department congratulated the comrades who were trusted and assigned to participate in the Scientific Council of Central Party agencies for the 2021-2026 term.
Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia highly appreciated and respected the contributions of the leaders and members of the Council for the 2016-2021 term and previous terms. At the same time, he hoped that the scientists who were former members of the Council would continue to contribute their intelligence and enthusiasm to the revolutionary cause of the Party as well as the scientific cause of the country.
Regarding the results achieved by the Council in the first half of the term, comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia realized that the Scientific Council of Central Party Agencies for the 2021-2026 term has inherited and developed to enhance the role, position and prestige of the Council.
Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia suggested that ministries, departments and branches continue to pay attention and accompany in building a mechanism to ensure that the activities of the Scientific Council of Central Party agencies are practical and effective, worthy of the trust of the Politburo, the Secretariat, Central Party agencies and the dedication of previous scientists.
As Chairman of the Council for the 2021-2026 term, on behalf of the Council, Comrade Lai Xuan Mon requested that scientists in the Council strengthen solidarity, community affection, promote courage, responsibility, humility, openness, connect, gather and mobilize, promote the strength of organizations, experts, scientists, intellectuals of the Party agencies, especially promote their own intellectual efforts, focus on striving to fulfill the assigned responsibilities.
