On the evening of March 27, the Diplomatic Academy informed about the school's expected admission methods in 2025. Accordingly, the Academy plans to enroll students according to 4 methods, including: Direct admission and priority admission according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, admission combined with high school transcripts and international certificates, admission combined with high school graduation exam scores and international certificates, admission based on high school graduation exam scores in 2025.
Thus, compared to last year, the Academy has added an admission method combining international certificates and high school graduation exam scores, eliminating the admission method based on interview results.
With the admission method combining high school transcripts and international certificates , candidates need to have an average score of 8 or higher for 6 semesters; have one of the following international certificates:
English | IELTS Academic from 6.0 or higher, or TOEFL iBT from 60 or higher, or PTE-A from 46 points or higher, or Cambridge English Qualifications from 169 points or higher, or SAT from 1200 points or higher, or ACT from 23 points or higher. |
French | DELF-B1 or higher or TCF tout public (5 tests: listening comprehension, grammar structure, reading comprehension, writing, speaking) generally classified as B1 or higher. |
Chinese | HSK 4 (score from 260) or above. |
Korean | from Topik 3 and above. |
Japanese | from N3 and above. |
Admission score (maximum 30) = A+B+C+D , in which:
A is the conversion point of International Certificate/International standardized competency test.
B is the sum of the average score of the 2 subjects other than Foreign Language (must include Math or Literature) in the admission combination of 6 semesters.
C is the Academy's incentive score for candidates who win the High School Excellent Student Award (if any).
D is the priority score according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training (if any).
With the admission method combining high school graduation exam scores and international certificates , the requirements for international certificates are similar to above.
Admission score (maximum 30) = A+B+C+D , in which:
A is the conversion point of International Certificate/International standardized competency test.
B is the total score of 2 subjects other than Foreign Language (must include Math or Literature) in the Academy's admission combination.
C is the Academy's incentive score for candidates who win the High School Excellent Student Award (if any).
D is the priority score according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training (if any).

With the admission method based on the 2025 high school graduation exam scores , the Academy noted that it will not use the results of foreign language exemptions; will not use the reserved scores from high school graduation exams and national high school exams of previous years for admission in 2025; and will not add priority points for candidates with vocational certificates.
This year, the Diplomatic Academy plans to increase the number of admission combinations to facilitate candidates to register according to their strengths. The new combinations include: D09, D10, D14, D15.
