At the opening ceremony of the Park Hang-seo Football Academy held this afternoon in Hanoi, representatives of the Park Hang-seo Academy and representatives of the Dong Do Hospital signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the fields of health care.
Mr. Park Hang-seo, Coach Mai Duc Chung and doctors participate in medical care for players of the football academy.
With this signing, Mr. Park's academy chose Dong Do Hospital (Hanoi) as the unit to accompany the comprehensive health care for young players during training, especially issues related to refraction, cardiovascular, and musculoskeletal problems.
Dong Do Hospital participates in assessing the general health and overall function of the academy's students and players.
In addition to medical care and health and fitness assessments, Dong Do Hospital doctors are responsible for advising on a healthy, balanced diet to meet the needs of improving physical condition and maintaining endurance for each player.
According to Ms. Dinh Thi Phuong Thuy, Executive Director of Dong Do Hospital, basically, doctors need to know and manage the following indicators: blood pressure, heart rate, cholesterol, sugar, uric acid, electrolytes. Detect cardiovascular and blood pressure abnormalities (if any); detect disease risks to prevent and reduce the risk of disease to meet training needs.
For musculoskeletal problems, it is necessary to detect congenital malformations and other syndromes to have appropriate exercise regimens and protect the health of the motor system for future players.
"In particular, with the increasingly common refractive errors in schools, it is very important to prevent refractive errors, detect early congenital defects such as strabismus, ptosis, etc., to have effective treatment methods, apply eye and vision protection regimens, and ensure health to meet training needs," Ms. Thuy shared.
