According to jewelry expert Maxwell Stone of Steven Stone Jewelers, the brooch inspired the team that designed Princess Diana's iconic engagement ring, which now belongs to Kate Middleton.

Queen Camilla made the trip to Man on behalf of King Charles. He expressed "regret that he could not come himself". The Isle of Man is one of three British Crown Territories, located in the Irish Sea between Great Britain and Ireland. King Charles is both head of state and lord of the island.
