According to Thanh Xuan District People's Committee, after checking the current status of the project, with the spirit of putting the safety and lives of the people first, Thanh Xuan District issued a document requesting households in the building to move, and at the same time sent forces to support the move when requested by the people.
Following the government’s recommendation, the households had completed their relocation by the end of February 24. On the same day, the Thanh Xuan District People’s Committee issued a document requesting land users, house owners and other property owners attached to the land to hire a qualified and capable consulting unit to conduct surveys, quality inspections, and assess the danger level of the building.
At the same time, hire a construction unit with sufficient capacity and conditions to organize the repair and reinforcement of the project according to regulations, ensuring safe use; when repairing and reinforcing the project, measures must be taken to ensure safety for people and the project.
After repair and reinforcement, the project must be assessed by the inspection unit and relevant agencies to ensure safety according to regulations before continuing to be put into use. Khuong Dinh Ward People's Committee is responsible for supervising the implementation of the above work.
Speaking to the press, Thanh Xuan District Party Secretary Bui Huyen Mai said that this mini apartment building has been granted a red book and the households living here are co-owners.
"During the entire process of people's evacuation, we will monitor to ensure safety. We put people's lives first, during the recovery process, we will monitor and supervise to ensure the utmost safety," said Ms. Mai, adding that if households have any wishes, they should propose them for the government to consider according to regulations.
As Thanh Nien reported, on February 24, many households living in the 8-storey mini apartment building at No. 22, Alley 236/17, Khuong Dinh Street moved their belongings elsewhere, because many concrete columns and beams in the basement were cracked and broken, and they had to "crutch" iron and reinforce the steel frame to ensure safety.
This mini apartment building has about 60 apartments, which have been sold by the investor to households and used since 2017 until now.
