On the morning of March 9, the Southern Preliminary Round of Miss Vietnam 2024 took place in Ho Chi Minh City, attracting hundreds of contestants from many provinces and cities across the country. |

Miss University of Finance and Marketing Ha Truc Linh said that participating in a beauty pageant is a dream she has cherished for a long time. “I think this is an opportunity for me to develop in many aspects and adapt to the new contest. Moreover, Miss Vietnam is a beauty pageant with a long tradition in Vietnam. I am proud to be a contestant of Miss Vietnam 2024,” Truc Linh said. |

She has just graduated with a major in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, International University (VNU-HCM City). Bao Ha once won the title of Miss Ao Dai International University, National University. |

Bao Ha shared that she chose Miss Vietnam because this is the most prestigious and oldest beauty contest in Vietnam, honoring the natural beauty, intelligence and dedication of Vietnamese women. She hopes that through the contest, she will discover other aspects of herself, gain more experience, learn skills as well as practice the confidence and demeanor necessary for her life. |

Contestant Phung Doanh Doanh (candidate number 071), born in 2005. She is the beauty queen of Thanh Hoa district, Long An. |

Doanh Doanh shared the reason she chose Miss Vietnam because it is the oldest and most prestigious contest in Vietnam. "The contest helps girls with the ability to freely experience and mark a meaningful journey of youth. I think I was brave when I registered for Miss Vietnam because my height is somewhat limited. However, I think height does not limit my breakthrough," she said. |

According to Doanh Doanh, she is confident that her knowledge, intelligence and bravery can shine at Miss Vietnam 2024. "I hope Miss Vietnam will give me lessons and experiences. On the contrary, I want to spread my energy to other contestants as well as fans following the contest," she emphasized. |

Tran Thi Huyen Co is the runner-up of the 2023 Student Beauty Contest at the University of Finance and Marketing. Huyen Co confided that she was very hesitant because she did not know whether she could do it or not before deciding to register for Miss Vietnam 2024. But the contest became a turning point, helping her discover herself and grow more mature every day. |

Contestant Nguyen Thi Trang (SBD 098), born in 2003, is the runner-up of Asian Cultural Ambassador. The female student from Ho Chi Minh City Open University said that she once thought she was not suitable for the Miss Vietnam contest because of her personality. However, she overcame the barriers to register and participate in the preliminary round. |
