Over the past years, dozens of households in 3 wards of Buon Ho town have successfully grown Nhat Tan peach varieties to serve customers' Tet needs. Peach gardens bring in hundreds of millions of VND/year/household.

Ms. Vu Thi Hang (Thong Nhat ward, Buon Ho town) is the first person to bring Nhat Tan peach blossom variety to plant in the land of coffee.

Ms. Hang shared that this year, her family planted about 7,000 peach trees. Growing peach blossoms is not too difficult but requires meticulous care and technical knowledge for the flowers to bloom in time for Tet. In particular, it is necessary to regularly monitor weather developments about 1-2 months before Tet.

“At this time, I trim the branches to make the tree neater and more lively. Before that, I hired workers to pick the leaves, and around the full moon of December, I will put the peach trees in pots,” said Ms. Hang.

In the garden, tiny flower buds were popping out from the branches. On the peach trees, there were brilliant pink flowers of the peach blossoms and the peach blossoms.

Mr. Nguyen Van Thang (Doan Ket Ward, Buon Ho Town) has more than 1,700 peach trees. Mr. Thang said that his family's peach garden is from 3 to 7 years old. There are some peach trees over 10 years old.

Here, gardeners grow 3 types of peaches, including peach blossoms, peach blossoms, and snow peaches.

In previous years, people here wanted to have peach trees to display on Tet holiday, they had to order them from the northern provinces and cities. The trees were easily broken and damaged during long-distance transportation, and the cost was high. Since peach trees have been successfully planted in this area, people can easily buy unique peach trees with brilliant flowers near Tet.

At present, traders have closed 30% of the peach trees in the gardens in the area. Every year on December 20, this area is crowded with customers coming to buy peach trees. Peach flowers are sold at an average price of 300,000 VND/tree to tens of millions of VND/tree depending on the age of the tree.

In recent times, peach blossom trees have brought high economic efficiency and a fairly stable output market. Households have joined together to establish the Doan Ket - Buon Ho Peach Blossom Trading and Service Cooperative. The cooperative currently has 14 members and a cultivation area of ​​over 16 hectares.

Mr. Nguyen Van Thang, Director of the Cooperative, said that with the support of local authorities and the People's Committee of Buon Ho town, up to now, the peach blossom product of the Cooperative has been recognized as a 3-star OCOP product.

In the near future, Buon Ho Town will hold the "Peach Blossom Spring Festival 2025". The festival aims to promote the movement of developing Buon Ho peach blossom into a commodity product, a direction to help farmers increase income and economic efficiency.

Thereby, promoting the image of Buon Ho peach blossoms associated with the town's tourism development potential to a large number of people and tourists during the Lunar New Year.
