Support businesses to develop digital brands

Digital branding (DBR) is the way a brand is recognized in the digital environment through online applications such as Websites, Landing pages and social networking interfaces such as Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, etc. to create connections between consumers and the products or services provided. This is an inevitable business trend in the digital age when e-commerce is in balance with traditional commerce and continues to develop rapidly. Recognizing this need, the province has implemented many solutions to support businesses and people in building DBR, raising awareness, image and style of the brand, attracting customers' attention on digital platforms.

The trend of utilizing THS of localities, enterprises, and production establishments in the province is increasingly developing, initially bringing efficiency in production, business as well as finding investment resources, high-quality human resources, promoting images with partners. Of which, there are more than 10 thousand enterprises; tens of thousands of business establishments and individuals participating in production, business, and promoting products on digital platforms. Many business establishments and individuals have owned many reputable online sales websites for their products such as: green tea apricot vinegar of Bach Coc Youth Cooperative, Thanh Loi Commune (Vu Ban); herbal tea of ​​Ngoc Tra Ecological Medicinal Materials Cooperative, Hai Tay Commune (Hai Hau); lotus root tea, lotus root starch, tapioca starch of VIAGRI Agricultural Joint Stock Company... This is the premise to help businesses initially build their own brand in the online environment. However, according to statistics from the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy (Ministry of Industry and Trade), Nam Dinh currently has 125 e-commerce websites selling goods; 8 organizations, 174 traders and 186 individuals registering domain names in commercial transactions that ensure the criteria for building THS. The remaining organizations and individuals have only formed a rudimentary mindset for THS development without a specific strategy for their brand and against unnecessary risks such as brand theft, counterfeiting, imitation, and taking advantage of the reputation of the brand after a lot of effort has been put into building.

To promote the development of THS, the Provincial People's Committee issued Plan No. 143/KH-UBND dated October 23, 2024 to implement the Program to promote and support people, businesses, and business households to have a reliable and safe online presence with digital services using the national domain name ".vn". In which, the important solution implemented is to popularize and raise awareness and skills about online presence on the internet environment for people; promote brand recognition on the internet environment and expand the market; promote the digital economy and digital society. Support people, businesses, business households, students and young people to establish digital brands, online presence with the national domain name ".vn" on the internet; officially present and develop business activities on the internet; have digital skills in using internet means to increase development opportunities. Increase the number of national domain names ".vn" in the province. Specifically, the program will spread communication to 50% of newly established small and medium enterprises within 1 year, business households with business registration certificates; 100% of universities, colleges, vocational schools; 50% of young people aged 18-23 about the importance of online presence, building digital brands on the internet environment through the application of digital services (website, email) using the national domain name ".vn". Register to use at least 10% of the domain name "id.vn" and 20% of the domain name "biz.vn" along with digital services (website, email...) for organizations and individuals in the program's target audience. Along with propaganda, the program supports 2 years of free use of the domain name "biz.vn" and digital services (website, email) for newly established enterprises within 1 year and individual business households; Free 2 years of using the domain name “id.vn” and digital services (website, email, online CV/blog) for Vietnamese citizens in the province aged 18-23.

To ensure the effectiveness of the program, the Department of Information and Communications coordinates with the Vietnam Internet Center (Ministry of Information and Communications) to guide the implementation and printing of communication support documents for the Program at the address: https://hiendienonline.tenmien.vn/tai-lieu-truyen-thong; at the same time, organize training, coaching and communication programs about the Online Presence Program with the national domain name ".vn" in the province. Departments, branches, localities and related units proactively deploy communication about the plan to members, students, students... to experience serving research, study, improve digital skills; build personal brands to increase community connections, job opportunities from a safe and reliable digital environment. In addition, localities established a provincial technical support team consisting of union members, youth, students, and members of community digital technology groups to help people, businesses, business households, and retail stores access, register, and safely use digital services as well as basic skills to build THS such as: defining the brand's mission and vision; understanding customer needs; clearly identifying sales channels and choosing the right digital platform; publishing quality content; taking advantage of market opportunities and competitive positioning.

The establishment of THS not only helps businesses and individuals identify themselves in the digital environment, but also opens up vast business opportunities, increases brand reputation, and creates trust with domestic and foreign customers and partners. With the support from the province and the proactive spirit of businesses, the province's e-commerce and digital transformation are expected to make a strong breakthrough, contributing to promoting sustainable socio-economic development.
