Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Trinh Thi Thuy has just signed Decision No. 2787/QD-BVHTTDL approving the Plan and Budget for organizing the Program to Support Research, Restoration, Preservation and Promotion of Intangible Culture of Ethnic Minorities at Risk of Loss of the Museum of Cultures of Vietnam's Ethnic Groups.
This is an activity under the National Target Program on Socio-Economic Development in Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas in 2024.

Accordingly, the program will support, research, restore, preserve and promote the weaving craft of the Dao ethnic group (Dao Tien group) in Cao Son commune, Da Bac district, Hoa Binh province.
The Museum of Cultures of Vietnam's Ethnic Groups organized an investigation and survey to assess the current status of the Dao ethnic weaving profession in Cao Son commune as a basis for selecting research and conservation locations.
Along with that, the Museum organized training courses on preserving and teaching the Dao ethnic weaving craft with 5 artisans and about 45 students. The materials and props for the teaching class were sponsored by the Museum of Vietnamese Ethnic Cultures and then transferred to the locality for preservation and promotion in the community.
The activities within the training course are documented, distributed to the community, promoted at the Museum and on the Museum's website and social media platforms.
The second content of the program is to support research, restoration, preservation and promotion of the intangible cultural form of Pao Dung singing and traditional costume embroidery of the Dao ethnic group (Dao Tien group) in Binh Trung commune, Cho Don district, Bac Kan province.
In particular, focusing on researching, restoring, preserving and promoting the art of Pao Dung singing and traditional costume embroidery; proposing solutions to preserve and promote the intangible culture of Pao Dung singing and traditional costume embroidery of the Dao ethnic group in Binh Trung commune.
