This afternoon (November 28), at the Presidential Palace, President Luong Cuong chaired the official welcoming ceremony for Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni on a state visit to Vietnam.

At the invitation of President Luong Cuong, Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni paid a State visit to Vietnam from November 28 to 29. The welcoming ceremony for Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni and the high-ranking delegation took place solemnly at the Presidential Palace (Hanoi).

This is the fourth visit to Vietnam by Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni. The King is expected to hold talks, meetings and receptions with all senior Vietnamese leaders, thereby contributing to deepening the Vietnam - Cambodia relationship under the motto "Good neighbors, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation, long-term sustainability".

The visit is expected to contribute to enhancing political trust between the two sides, promoting cooperation in the fields of economy, culture, education, as well as other fields.

Earlier, in the afternoon of the same day, Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni laid a wreath and visited President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum.

Over the past time, the relationship between Vietnam and Cambodia has continued to develop positively. The political relationship between Vietnam and Cambodia has continued to develop well. The senior leaders of the two countries have maintained visits and contacts between ministries, branches and localities of the two countries with practical cooperation mechanisms being implemented more and more effectively, bringing the cooperation in all fields to an increasingly deeper level.
