In 2023, the district's socio-economic situation, although still facing many difficulties, was basically stable (17/18 targets met and exceeded the plan, 01/18 targets did not meet the plan). Agricultural production remained stable, trade, services, tourism, and business activities gradually recovered.

The value of agricultural, forestry and fishery production increased by 1% compared to 2022; the value of industrial - handicraft - construction production is estimated at 25,278.1 billion VND. The state budget revenue in the district is estimated at 988 billion VND, reaching 91.6% of the plan. Average income per capita reached 76.8 million VND, an increase of 14.5% compared to 2022.

The export turnover of goods is estimated at 102.2 million USD, equal to 100.2% of the plan. The total retail sales of goods and social consumer service revenue is estimated at 5,940.0 billion VND, up 12.0% over the same period. State management of land, minerals and environment continues to be strengthened; newly arising violations are basically handled promptly. Site clearance work, especially for key projects, is directed resolutely.

Total development investment capital in the area is estimated at VND 8,984 billion, equal to 105.7% of the plan. Culture and society have many vibrant activities; the epidemic situation in the district is basically well controlled. Social security policies are implemented promptly, practically, and to the right subjects; the poverty rate of the district has decreased to 1.82%, down 0.68% compared to 2022. Administrative reform has positive changes, discipline and order have been strengthened. Political security, social order and safety are maintained, people's lives are stable.

Regarding the tasks in 2024, the People's Committee of Kim Bang district determined to focus on effectively implementing the goals, tasks and solutions of the Resolution of the 26th District Party Congress and the district's thematic resolutions. Resolutely direct the implementation of accelerating the progress of site clearance, supporting investors to implement projects in the district. Mobilize and use resources for socio-economic development, focus on completing urban criteria and standards, strive to complete the Project to establish Kim Bang town by 2024 and arrange commune-level administrative units of Kim Bang district to establish wards of Kim Bang town for consideration and recognition by all levels.

Promote administrative reform, continue to support and remove difficulties and obstacles for production and business. Comprehensively develop social culture. Implement social security well, improve and enhance people's material and spiritual life. Strengthen resource management and environmental protection. Improve effectiveness and efficiency in direction, administration, law enforcement, and fight against corruption and waste. Maintain political stability, ensure security and national defense.

The meeting carried out the procedure for dismissal and appointment of members of the District People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term and took a vote of confidence for those holding positions elected by the District People's Council for the 2021-2026 term.
