On the morning of March 20, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Thanh Lam officially announced the launch of the photo and video contest "Happy Vietnam - Happy Vietnam 2024".
2024 is the second time the contest has been held with the aim of discovering and honoring meaningful moments and stories in all aspects of political, economic, cultural and social life through photos and videos to affirm achievements in socio-economic development and international integration, thereby affirming achievements in the field of ensuring human rights in Vietnam in recent years.
"The contest was first launched in 2023 and has achieved impressive successes, being widely welcomed and highly appreciated by the public at home and abroad. This year's contest is one of the key activities in the human rights communication plan of the Ministry of Information and Communications in 2024. After the contest, the Organizing Committee will select the best works to award prizes and about 100 works that make it to the final round will be selected to display in an exhibition to serve the communication work on human rights at home and abroad in the coming time," said Deputy Minister Nguyen Thanh Lam.
According to the Organizing Committee, from 2023, the Contest will be held annually, on a mass scale and launched nationwide, aiming to attract the participation of a large number of authors across the country. Authors, both professional and non-professional, Vietnamese and foreign, domestic or foreign, can participate.
The contest aims to discover and honor meaningful moments and stories about all aspects of Vietnam's political, economic, cultural and social life through photos and videos submitted by domestic and international authors to vividly affirm Vietnam's achievements in the field of human rights.
At the same time, mobilize the combined strength of all classes of people in the country, the Vietnamese community abroad and international friends in communication work, promoting the image of the country and Vietnamese people to the world to affirm to the world that Vietnam is a peaceful, beautiful country, dynamically developing and a happy country.

Criteria for entries
- Highly promote the image of the country, Vietnamese people, cultural and natural values throughout the country; arouse national pride and development aspirations in all classes of people to join hands in building Vietnam to become increasingly prosperous, prosperous and happy.
- Reflects truthfully and vividly the development achievements in all aspects of Vietnam's political, economic, cultural and social life, especially in the process of innovation, development and international integration.
- Convey valuable knowledge, attract strong public interest and have wide spread domestically and internationally.
- The work was created from January 1, 2022 to the time of receipt and has never been submitted to or won any previous competitions or exhibitions.
Prize structure
Each competition category has the following prizes and prize values:
- 01 Gold Medal: 70,000,000 VND
- 02 Silver Medals: 20,000,000 VND
- 03 Bronze Medals: 10,000,000 VND
- 10 Consolation prizes: 5,000,000 VND
- 01 Most voted work: 5,000,000 VND
